Premier Inn Isle Of Wight Sandown

We had a very pleasant stay at this Premier Inn. The staff were very nice and catered for all of our needs. The room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our wholesome breakfast, very tasty and good value for money. We fully recommend this Premier Inn and will certainly be returning here on our next visit to the Isle of Wight.

Great location to explore the island, and with a Premier Inn you basically ge what you pay for. The nearby Aldi and Morrisons are handy if you forget to bring something with you, KFC and a pub are also just across the road. The beds and pillows though could do with an upgrade, very soft I asked for firmer pillows and staff were prompt to oblige. When we were there the establishment was being used lots of tradesmen no doubt on the island to prepare it for the upcoming Summer season or working on the various building sites in the town. Staff were very helpful and friendly, free car parking was also a bonus (just make sure to check your car in on the console/iPad in reception)

Firstly, if I could give 4.5 stars, I would. The staff are an absolute asset to this hotel. The chef was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent both continental and cooked. The room was clean and comfortable. This is my only criticism and the staff have no control over this... There is absolutely no ventilation. The windows are fixed panels and the air vents only go down to 19C then switch off. The room was stifling and stuffy. Also concerning for escape if there was a fire. Premier Inn senior management need to get these issues sorted.

Very nice and comfortable room. Definitely a great value for money. Very good service. Free parking and unlimited amount of tea/coffee packets are added bonus. Only downside was the wifi, because the free wifi is not strong enough inside the room & no mobile signal inside the hotel. Meal options seems bit pricey & limited options.

The most notable part of staying here was the staff; Everybody I came into contact with was really chatty and friendly. I was staying in one of the Premier Plus rooms, and although I didn't notice a massive difference to the regular Premier Inn rooms, I always find Premier Inn's to be comfortable and you always know what you're getting. My only negative was that the view from my window was KFC, so I felt like I needed to keep the curtains closed the whole time to prevent people seeing into my room. Not a massive inconvenience though. I only had breakfast here, and it was nothing special, but filling enough and a decent selection. In their defence it was very quiet so I presume they were trying to avoid waste. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were so very helpful, all of them. Nothing was too much trouble. Checking in was efficient, pleasant and the staff went out of their way to welcome us. At dinner and breakfast we experienced exactly the same welcome, smiles and going the extra mile. We were a family of grandparents, parents and children ranging in age from 2 to 13, we bought all the chaos that goes with a family, but nothing phased them in the least and everything was done with a smile and kind words. We would not have had a more welcoming experience at a 5* hotel.
