Apartamentos Cordial Mogán Valle

Had a wonderful holiday at the Cordial Mogan Apartments in the first week of November. Thoroughly recommend for a great value stay in a beautiful area of GC. Reception- greeted with excellent customer service from all staff. Yolanda and Nasim were very helpful with all queries and managed the check-in with professionalism. Accommodation- spacious, clean and well-equipped. We had a superior apartment for the safe and air-con. No issues with bugs or cockroaches. Saw one dead one outside in the whole time we were there. There is a schedule for cleaning & towel-changes and the apartments offer superb space for a family including a large balcony. The piano music in the restaurant opposite provides a nice ambience in the evening whilst sat on the balcony. Pool & bar areas- well-kept with lifeguard keeping the kids safe and temp absolutely fine. Great pool snack bar and kids were happy playing in both the main children’s pool and splash park. Didn’t try the other 2 pools. Animation - lovely team of young people who work really hard and gave the kids a great time. Highlight was the mini disco which the kids looked forward to every night. Spa- used a few times as it is amazing! Restaurant- buffet is excellent and very good value. We preferred the second sitting as it was quieter. There are of course plenty of restaurant options in Mogan but if you don’t want to venture out then the food at the restaurant offers plenty of choice. Thank you to Cordial Mogan Valle- we’ll be back without a doubt!

Been coming to Cordial Valle for the past eight years. Everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. Clean, comfortable, large accommodation and very polite and pleasant staff. Quiet surroundings with a choice of pools that have enough sunbeds for everyone. Can't wait until my next visit, next year.

Great family hotel however let down by the tatty appearance in parts of the building. Ripped canopy on balcony (reported to staff) didn’t make a great first impression. Rubbish along corridors that remained there for the majority of our stay, t shirt left on rails of staircase for 4 days, this could have been removed and placed into lost property. Despite the above, there were nice touches such as complimentary sweets for the children and a great splash pool for toddlers. If your housekeeping staff were ahead of their game I’d of rated our experience higher.

When we arrived, we received a friendly welcome and drink. Everything was clearly explained to us and, although it took us a couple of days, we were soon confident in navigating around the huge complex. We were blown away by the apartment and terrace size as well as its cleanliness. We were provided with washing up liquid, etc. The bed and other furniture were extremely comfortable. Our room was cleaned 5 times a week. There were 3 pools and we preferred the quiet pool as we were child free. The lifeguards were generally quick to remind other guests that it was a quiet pool. We ventured to the bar one evening however it was a bit noisy for us but seemed great for families with young children. In our experience, the complex was always clean and the staff were helpful. We could hire pool towels, which were big and fluffy. Location wise, it was great. Right opposite the supermarket and near the bus station. We enjoyed walking down to the beach and port most evenings. The Commercial Centre opposite was OK and alright for convenience - nothing there we’d recommend and, we felt, there were better quality, friendlier bars and restaurants further down. The complex is perfect for the Friday market as it starts right outside the complex. We could access the hotel next door but we did this only once. Taxi rank outside too. Lots of cats, which we did not mind. They were well cared for and kept to themselves mostly. Brilliant views. We had an amazing 2 weeks here. We would recommend this hotel and would happily return.

This complex is huge and took 3 lifts to reach our room, we did use stairs most of the time though. The complex is clean and well maintained. We did not eat or drink in the complex we were self catering which we enjoyed to make our own breakfast and lunch sometimes. While the rooms are clean they definitely need upgrading appears the bathrooms have been but not the bedrooms or living areas.. big spacious rooms though. No AC in our room but ceiling fans which was fine at this time of year, but you can rent AC unit, along with just about everything else, iron, safe etc. I know you can’t compare apples and oranges and it would be more expensive but if coming back would go to the Mogan playa or back to radisson but it would definitely be ideal for families so I do see the attraction.

Family holiday for 7 nights late December to early January. The positives: Room was clean and spacious. Family of 5. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, nice private terrace and easy access to all resort amenities. Pools - nice, clean and well maintained. Pool attendant on duty at all pools. Location - very good. 15 min stroll to beach and Harbour. Lovely restaurants and cafe bars. The best ones need to be booked in advance. Everything is walkable around Mogan. Only 10 mins to Bus Terminus with excellent service to nearby resorts of Amadores and Puerto Rico. Approx 45 mins transfer from airport (75€ in taxi). Spa - excellent, attentive and friendly service. Natalia in particular. Recommended. Excellent, Friday morning market spanning the whole resort. The negatives: Reception staff very slow and need guest service training. Check in and out takes a long time and lacks efficiency. On two separate occasions I politely asked front desk to call a taxi for our family. Kept waiting for 20 minutes on each occasion without update or apology. Eventually gave up and made our own arrangements. Day prior to check out, sought to book a late check out. Not available. No problem. Was offered, and accepted, a private courtesy room with shower etc given our late flight. Was told to collect the key in the morning. Arrived in the morning to collect said key. No booking had been made ! Only after another 20 minute wait and a polite complaint to the manager did a key then materialise. No apology for the error. Disappointing and the hotel staff really need some training. We travel extensively as a family and, whilst customer service needs attention at Cordial Valle, the location, rooms and pools make this a reasonable, and affordable destination for a family. Puerto Mogan is a delightful resort. Picturesque, and well maintained. A nice place to spend a tranquil week after a busy year. Restaurants are pricey compared to the rest of the island but to be expected given that Mogan is a bit more upmarket and well maintained. Overall, I’d rate Cordial Valle apartments 3.5 stars. We’d perhaps look to book the neighbouring Cordial Valle Hotel next time which looked nicer or the Radisson Blu.
