Newly rebuild and comfortable hotel with good parking possibilities. Very nice rooms of decent size. Incredible hospitality by the owner including welcome drink and explanation of the area. They make you feel at home immediately. The breakfast was outstanding.

Wonderful hosts Marcello and his wife, also the team from the restaurant. Cosy tasteful double room facing the quiet idyllic side. Window with sliding mosquito net. Bathroom all functional equipped with shower temperature with precision, shower products of top quality. Nice breakfast using local produces possible. The whole building is a mix of modern and old elements that would make you have an envy to linger longer. We would definitely want to come back again😃.

I very rarely write reviews but this hotel is a real gem. Outstanding experience in itself, and even more relative to the price. The town seems to be in the “middle of nowhere” countryside Switzerland, but you quickly realize that is a fantastic spot for hiking, mountain biking, visiting nearby lakes and towns, and experience the quintessential spirit of traditional Switzerland. In addition, you are right at the border of the French speaking and German speaking regions, which also add interesting twists to the trip. Above all, the hotel in itself is worth the visit. Superbly renovated (after a big fire!) with a mix of modernity and tradition, it is very warm and welcoming. The owner Marcello seems to be everywhere and to speak every language perfectly. He even met us at the car when we arrived, to greet us personally! He and his wife are true masters of hospitality. Excellent room with great beds. The breakfast was lovely. Unforgettable local ham, and “to die for” scrambled eggs were the highlights. Unfortunately we could not try the dinner (the place has a restaurant, too) but I suspect it would have been fantastic, too. Little details are also important: the welcome drink, the quality of the loudspeakers and music during breakfast and its perfect volume, even the outfit of the cleaning ladies. Just attention to detail and great care everywhere you look! It is a place that puts you in great mood. I would very strongly recommend to stay here, even if it meant a little extra drive compared to other hotels in near towns. Bravo! to the owners. Wishing them great success!

Great location with many hike options in the surroundings. Marcelo did an amazing job showing us the different activities and highlights of the region. The breakfast was amazing and the dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The hotel in general and the room were spotless. The architecture and decoration are tasteful and the gardens well taken care of. The stuff is helpful and friendly and the owners totally kind and made feel like home. For sure not our last visit to the hotel. Can highly recommend it.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel (me, my wife and almost 4 year old daughter). We have stayed in many nice accommodations, but I have to say that this hotel greatly exceeded our expectations. My wife and I have no shame in saying that this was the best stay we have ever had. Perfect, nice and always helpful staff. A beautiful, amazingly equipped room (great mattresses, comfortable duvets, and fine details such as high-quality, fragrant Swiss soap...). The owner was very helpful with tips for a trip, breakfast even in an almost family friendly spirit, we felt like we were visiting good friends. And the dinner at the local restaurant was absolutely amazing (Michelin starred restaurants could envy the quality). Even the town itself has its rural charm and there is a lot to see in the surrounding area within an accessible distance (lakes, chocolate factory, cheese factory, beautiful nature,...). Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday.
