Worst resort to deal with. We had made reservations and pre paid for stay at the resort from 12/26/23-12/29/23. Due to sudden death of my mother on 12/2623 we had to cut our vacation short and return to the US. Despite providing them the paperwork from the hospital where my mother was taken, they refused to reimburse the money prepaid for the stay.
I Will NEVER stay at he resort again and given their lack of professionalism would never recommend them to anyone. Dealing with them was worst possible experience for me.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. It was my wife and I and our two teenage sons, so we booked two rooms. The good: The grounds are spectacular. The breakfast buffet was included for us and was superb, with amazing views. Everything is very clean. The drivers were very nice and helpful. Adequate: The rooms are basic yet comfortable. Needs improvement: Restaurant options at the hotel are very expensive. You could save a lot of money by going to town for dinners. WiFi was spotty and unreliable. The hot springs are not hot. As reported in other reviews, the bathroom walls do not block conversations. We could easily speak with our children that had the room next door.

This was our 4th stay at Arenal Manoa since 2011. We've grown from our honeymoon to now visiting as a family of 5. I couldn't imagine staying somewhere else in La Fortuna. Sitting on your private balcony with a perfect view of Arenal & a cup of coffee while hummingbirds flit around is heaven on earth. We usually stay in the superior suite, our children are still small enough that the addition of a comfortable cot fits us for now. In the future we'll book an adjoining room. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained, the staff are so friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet is wonderful. The addition of the new hot springs was a great surprise since our last stay and the pool was nice as always. The hotel is just far enough out of town to feel secluded without being a big pain to get to. We will be back!

This resort is the definition of what a rainforest escape should be. I stayed in a single-story bungalow (Room 201) with a private patio and volcano view — everything was spotless, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. The grounds are stunning, walkable, and mobility-friendly with no stairs. If you don’t feel like walking, a quick call to reception brings a golf cart right to your door. The pool area is large and relaxing, with a poolside bar and several warm volcanic thermal pools (more warm than hot). The included breakfast buffet is excellent. Lunch and dinner aren’t included but are reasonably priced — the pizza was a surprise standout. The spa is beautiful but expensive ($160 for a 60-min massage), though the riverside massage tents are unforgettable. What impressed me most was the staff — truly the best I’ve encountered anywhere. Professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Highly recommended for anyone wanting comfort, views, and rainforest peace. Room tip: Rooms in the low 200s are close to the pools and restaurant.

Wonderful resort. Everything was perfect, clean and well maintained. Restaurants were awesome pool was amazing as were hot springs. Provided transportation around the facility which was huge.
