Hôtel Barrière l'Hermitage

Came for a relaxing two day stay. After 7 hour drive to the hotel we sat relaxed with a glass of rose and a bottle of local beer and bottle still water. We then decided to organise dinner at one of the two restaurants at the hotel. We then discovered the main restaurant was closed and their seafood restaurant was full. Our only option was room service or find somewhere else. Sunday France everywhere was closed. We were super super disappointed- this was not a good start. We were not the only ones - bar staff couldn’t really care and just said we could have sliced meat and cheese if we wanted. The other staff were having a tough time trying to sort out a family who were in the same situation. Im sorry but if you have guests expected and you have at least one open restaurant you reserve a table for your guests! We sat in our room duly ordered pizzas. The cheapest item on the menu because everything else was 5* restaurant prices which we were not prepared to pay to sit in our room to eat. They were disgusting clearly shop bought with extra toppings. We couldn’t even have a cup of tea. We looked at the breakfast 30euros each for continental or American style breakfast at that point we realised this hotel is a rip off and we would not be staying any longer and made alternative plans. When we came to check out the next morning they did not care. The only saving grace after much discussion baring in mind the following costs; our drinks were 32euros one glass rose and one bottle beer & bottle still water, pizza 50euros and 33 euros a day to park your car - our car was parked outside the hotel entrance- they also did not like it because we used *********** and not booked direct - we had to accept that we had to loose the room money - they agreed to not charge for our food and drinks - we were so so disappointed and had very much looked forward to our stay - this hotel needs to stop trying to be like the shard or a hotel in Monaco and focus on what it should and can be. Clearly some guests dont care how much things costs like 33 euros a day to park your car- we are more than happy to spend if it is justified but this hotel is not. This was part of a 13 day holiday where we stayed in 6 hotels and this was by far the worst and yet promised to be the best - such a shame. Oh the chaps who park your car and take tour bags? 5* super lovely super professional couldn’t be nicer thank you.

From arrival to departure, everything was perfect! The whole team made us feel at home.. even better than home 😉. They would anticipate our needs always with a bright smile and friendly, but professional words. The hotel is just beautiful and the view from the room is unbeatable! The location is spot on. You have the ocean at your feet, and can enjoy the busy and charming life of La Baule in a few minutes walk or take a ride on the hotel bicycles to discover all the beautiful houses around. For the golfers, the La Baule Club is close by and offers fantastic courses. And not to forget about the tennis courts just a few minutes away at the over 100 years old Club. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The only “downside” is that we could not stay longer!! We will definitely be back..

Un hôtel chic et élégant avec un brin de décontraction. Le personnel de la réception est professionnel et très sympathique. La chambre supérieure d'une belle superficie et très bien équipée. Un accueil personnalisé avec de jolies attentions nous attendaient. Petit déjeuner gargantuesque et raffiné dans une salle de réception magnifique. Un grand merci à toutes les équipes de ce bel hotel Élégance, efficacité et gentillesse.

Passage nostalgique dans ce qui fut un hotel où nous allions souvent avec les enfants. On passe sur les prestations toujours aussi bonnes ! On insiste en revanche sur le personnel absolument genial ! Gentillesse, professionnalisme … efficacité ! Que ce soit en chambre, à la réception (merci pour vos sourires et votre gentillesse) la conciergerie et les porteurs tu aussi dévoués !! Mention spéciale à Soizic, la nouvelle responsable du bar (je crois) qui a su « raconter » ses cocktails et décrire ses vins avec humour et disponibilité ! Franchement donnez nous la « mine » où vous trouvez votre personnel !!!!!! Merci pour tout

Plutôt habitués a l’Hôtel Royal tout proche , nous nous sommes réunis à l’Hermitage pour passer plusieurs jours en famille pour l’anniversaire de notre petite fille qui fêtait ses 12 ans. Un accueil proféssionel et chaleureux , 3ème étage, vue sur mer : une fois installés ça a été piscine , puis plage sur les transats : accueil pro , installés et « accompagnés » si besoin. Petit déjeuner « Barrière » tout y est , l’embarras du choix autrement dit Mention TB ! le Bar a disposition par Anatole qui a été primé 2024 . Ce séjour s ‘est parfaitement déroulé, aucun ennui. Au 3ème étage nous avions 2 femmes de chambre très professionnelles : je cite Jeanne et Hasma,appréciées pour nos 3 chambres parfaitement remises à niveau tous les jours !

Un hôtel et des prestations incroyables. Réception à l’image d’un 5 étoiles. Accueil personnalisé et très sympathique. Nous avons eu la chance d’avoir été surclassé et la chambre est tout bonnement superbe. Le petit déjeuner est fantastique et le dîner très bon.
