Grand Hôtel Henri - Teritoria

At the end of October and early November I spent 8 nights at The Grand Hotel Henri with a group of 10 others for a Photography workshop in Provence and it was truly special. I haven't enjoyed a hotel stay this much in a long time. The room was decadent, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, the bed was very comfortable, and wow was the bathtub so enjoyable each night. Additionally, the hotel is situated in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a charming town in the middle of Provence that allows for easy access to several other historically beautiful Provencial towns. Sorgue is the perfect town to have as a home base for visits all throughout Provence. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming again.

This is a small family run hotel that is well run, clean, lovely rooms and garden, great food and lovely staff who go above and beyond with their customer service. We found all the staff so welcoming and friendly and a real asset to your hotel. A big special thank you to Leah for helping us out exceptionally, when we got the wrong train and ended up lost. One of the nicest small hotels we have stayed in ever and a nice relaxing holiday for us.

My wife and I were traveling in Provence with a rental car. Initially I booked at this hotel for its easy access with parking, more than anything else, as the last thing I want is to navigate the narrow alleys in southern France small city centers. However, our experience at the hotel has exceeded expectation in every single aspect. Our rental car broken down soon after arriving at the hotel, needless to say, it gave us A LOT of trouble dealing with car rental/towing service. Multiple reception staff members (3-4 of them in total, on day of arrival/next day) gave us so much help (helping call the car rental company in french, holding car key/waiting for mechanic to show up, suggesting solutions, etc.). Deeply grateful. Location of hotel itself is great too, easily walkable to the small city. Initially was a little worried about the hotel sitting right next to a round-about, but traffic was actually light. Not much noise from the road at all. Room size is adequate, with all necessary amenities. May not be luxurious, but certainly comfortable. For the price, location, and service provided, I don't have any complaint at all. Breakfast is wonderful, especially with freshly made house-made pastries. They are superb, especially considering we have stayed at many high-end hotels in France including multiple palace hotels in Paris. The croissants may not beat the ones we had at Plaza Athenee or Ritz Paris, let's say, but they are pretty close in quality and thus more delicious than many other big-name 5-star hotels/vineyard chateau/resorts in Paris or Bordeaux or Provence region. To summarize, the location, the comfort, the breakfast/service are all excellent, and above all, the service has been exceptional. Especially considering its price tag, it provides unbeatable value. We would certainly stay here again if we ever visit L'isle Sur-La-Sorgue again.

Beware of booking room 17 if you are a couple. possibly ok for one person The room had a good bed, pillows and linen, but honestly, you couldn't swing a cat in it and it was very dated with no dressing table mirror and a wonky, shallow chest of drawers. It was all a bit shabby The shower, although in a dated bathroom, was good The 'service my room' tag fell off our door and our bed was not made on one day but no reduction made The staff were kind and helpful (with one exception) Breakfast was distinctly average - machine coffee, carton juice, fruit salad obviously made the night before (and awful) and all the scrambled egg eaten by the time we got there. However, a cup of coffee was willingly made for me and some more eggs - but I felt like a grumbler having to ask for it. For Eu21 it was not great value and we fared better in the excellent cafe in the town after the first experience

I would highly recommend this hotel. The property is lovely and the reception staff are particularly friendly and helpful.

This place is a little gem! I booked one of the standard rooms located off the parking lot as that was all that was available for our dates. Having read TA reviews, I knew what to expect. Well, the quality of our room exceeded our expectations! It was pretty, well-equipped, with a very comfortable bed and sparkling clean and bright bathroom. The staff were excellent and very service-oriented. We were there for the two days that the restaurant is closed (of course!), so we didn't get to try it or see the pretty courtyard full of people and energy. We would stay here again! A great little find.
