I love how this hotel has personality and that it’s well designed. People said that the room is small, but as a solo traveller, it is a great size! There is free pastries for breakfast, free amenities and a great locker to store luggages when you don’t need it. Check in and check out was good, you get to pick your room at check in as well. You’ll have fun at this hotel, it’s near the bus station and a train station. It’s close to the famous Inari Shrine, Ninenzaka and between Kyoto Station and the main shopping district. It’s also right by the 7/11

Didn't expect my room has window but without view as it has a frosted window film, probably for privacy purposes, as the room facing relatively close to the adjacent building. As the room is being painted with dark theme colour, it does make the room very dim most of the time even with the lights on. It's definitely very bad lighting to do my makeup. The room has a mini fridge but offer no kettle, drinking cups or free water. There is water station at the lounge area but you will need to bring your own bottle to refill water. Overall, it's not far away from the points of interests with great assess to transport. It is walkable to Kiyomizu-dera temple and Gion area. Amenities wise, it offer luggage storage, laundry and self-service station for some tea and coffee. It provides free pastries in the morning. It has a 7-eleven connected at the ground floor of the hotel so was handy to get quick snacks, withdrawn cash etc. The hotel does not offer luggage forwarding service, I had to walk 10 minutes to Yamato delivery service to ship my luggage. If you are on budget for a hotel in Kyoto, this place would be a good choice. But I don't think I will return.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Tavinos, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that set the tone for the entire stay. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure all my needs were met, from check-in to check-out. The rooms were spacious, clean, and modern, with all the amenities you'd expect for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the bathroom was well-maintained with high-quality toiletries. What really stood out to me, though, was the attention to detail throughout the hotel. The design was stylish and contemporary, yet still inviting and cozy. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, and I thoroughly enjoyed starting my day there. The location of Hotel Tavinos was also ideal, with easy access to popular attractions and transportation options nearby. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, this hotel provides everything you need for a memorable stay. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Budget hotel in Kyoto 🇯🇵 (10 minutes walk to Kyoto Tower Also close to Pontocho Alley on the Kamogawa River) Highly Recommended for best location and cheap

What a cool hotel..provide us with a simple breakfast. Located near bus stop and station. It is close to 7eleven. It provide us a machine to check in and check out so the process was so smooth. The interior is so great, made the room feels so spacious. I hope I stay longer in Kyoto. Sure i’ll be back to this hotel.

The place is awesome. We easily find the hotel upon alighting the bus at the bus stop. Also, we want to make mention the easy way of checking in and out thru the hotel machine. Also thanks to the front desk personnel who accomodated our request to leave our luggages. We will definetly come back and stay in this hotel.

Good location, has a 7/11 right on the first floor, perfect if you want to use yamato transport to get your luggage delivered to the next destination! Theres also self service coffee/tea at the lobby provided throughout the day, recommended!

Budget hotel with a trendy design; overall, the room is clean. However, the room is quite small, and the pillow is very thin, making it uncomfortable to sleep. When we requested more pillows, the front desk said they were out of stock, but if we insisted, they offered only one additional pillow.

Hotel looks chic & new and its location in downtown is very good. There is also a 7-11 just on the ground floor. Room is small but their other facilities like self operated laundry, guest lounge/dining area, complimentary morning coffee/tea & pastries and free luggage storage all make up for it. Pleasant stay for leisure.

The check in was really easy. Room was clean. Great hospitality and service was amazing. Close to most of the tourist location and really walkable.

Hotel is new, modern and cheerful in its decor. The reception is at level 3, and you have access to 7-11 at level 1. You also get complimentary hot drinks, water and ice dispenser all day. Simple but sufficient breads like mini croissant and Danish were provided. Location is also great!

Hotel are amazing and impressive 👏🏻 they provide very lovely bread for breadfast without any charges, tea/coffee, water expenses, microwave, oven is just right there, you could use it anytime u like, washing machine available as well. Is a wonderful experience, definitely recommend 👍🏻😇😊

Loved the location of the hotel, rooms were small but cozy. The only downside was the dark paint in the rooms, heavy yellow lights which don’t create a very pleasant vibe. Aside of that, everything was perfect.
