Saucy Mary's is a sea view facing hostel located in Kyleakin on the beautiful Isle of Skye close to the Skye Bridge. We offer accommodations for individual travelers, families and groups. The hostel is dog friendly.
We are very experienced in managing group bookings for students and special interest activities.
We provide free parking, self-catering and a restaurant, a shared reception/lounge, and a garden. We are conveniently located 2 miles over the Skye Bridge from the town Kyle of Lochalsh which has a supermarket, cafes, local shops, and a new arts and learning center ‘Skye Bridge Studios’. We are a 20-minute drive from the must-visit Eilean Donan Castle and a 50-minute scenic drive from the magical Fairy Pools and Fairy Glen.
The hostel provides guest rooms and dormitories with free WiFi access, as well as views of the sea and surrounding mountains. Some rooms have a TV, and most rooms have a private external/internal bathroom, while others have access to a shared bathroom. All of the rooms and dormitories provide bed linen.
An optional breakfast is provided every morning at the restaurant next door which provides both a continental and a full, hearty Scottish breakfast from 7:30am.
The accommodations is surrounded by beautiful walks – you could hike up to Castle Moil, take a stroll along the beach, or you could walk the Skye Bridge for a picturesque view which may include sunsets.
Inverness airport is a 2 hour drive from Kyleakin, which is perfect for allowing you to take in the gorgeous scenery of the Highlands of Scotland.

I read a few reviews before I travelled which were mostly negative towards this place. I found the hostel to be clean,warm and well organised. The kitchen area could do with a refresh but nothing major. The shower pressure is not very good but it works. There were 6 of us in an 8 man room (4 bunk beds) ample room for moving around.

The room was a twin room on both beds there were several ***** and stains. There were also two seats which were also covered in stains. The walls were covered in cobwebs we slept all night with our clothes on as did not feel the room was clean enough to go to bed in our pjs we slept on our towels we brought with us. we didn’t want to come into contact with the stains and *****. Paid £109 for the room, if you are reading this review I would stay somewhere else. I have stayed at youth hostels before but this place was scruffy. To top all of this off we opened our door to go to the toilet down the hall and the biggest spider I’ve ever seen bounded into our room which made the two of us to hurry to our car at 7 in the morning

It’s ok is the easiest way to explain it. Our room was a twin bunk bed room. Small but clean. Our key opened a private toilet and a private shower room down the corridor which was not ideal, but much better than sharing these with other rooms. No TV, free WiFi, no kettle but there is a kettle in the kitchen/reception area which had free coffee sachets, tea, milk and sugar. For Skye it was well priced £110 for the night at the end of July, but certainly not cheap (that’s the Isle of Skye premium I guess) given we paid £50 the night before for a travelodge room. Not sure of if I would stay again but it suited our purposes for this trip.

Was booked a room by a coach party as no room at there hotel and was very disappointed the place is run down dirty I cut my foot on a carpet gripper going round sink in bedroom no tea or coffee facilities in room towels only available at reception £5 deposite and 1.50 hire charge but once reception is closed your are stuffed personally I think people should avoid this place like the plaque

The Worst Hostel in UK. Staff is rude and unpleasant. Only a Microwave and a Toaster in here. Nobody can cook a proper Meal on a Microwave and Toaster. They want yu too go in the Overpriced Restaurant they own too. Over there also rude Staff. Was freezing and dirty. AVOID IT !

Provides excellent service from charming staff, who are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Next door to a good restaurant which serves delicious fish. As a wheelchair user I found them unusually supportive and sensitive to my needs. The location is stunning and rooms are comfortable and well decorated. Pleasant communal space with free hot drinks, and a breath taking view of panoramic views.

Great Location, with views to the bridge at the front and at the back a river with herons fishing. Our room was spotlessly clean. The bedding clean but poor quality but adequate, the curtains falling off the rail. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom brand new and the shower was great. Good powerful hairdryer. We stayed two nights, second night there was a large group of Italian high school students, the teachers made more noise shouting at them the the kids them self. Would I stay here again, yes, great value. The price of optional breakfast next door seemed extortionate, but there are better value places a short drive away.

8/10. Everything was good. Hot water and clean washroom. Comfy and clean beds, only chairs in room were bit dirty. Friendly staff. View was amazing. Free Parking available. Easy to find, good location. I like the overall experience

Excellent Accommodation. We went very late 11pm, they explained us everything by phone and leave the keys in a safe place. The restaurant make wonderful coffee, the romms we rent a double twin my husband and I and rest very well. They got hot water, good pillows, enough space, everything was very clean, few details soap, shampoo, coffee and milk, tea ( We love it) Good WIFI and the best part the view in from of the hotel. I WILL STAY AGAIN. Thanks to Laura in reception for the support. Make feel that I want to come back to Skye.
