Hotel Kou Bugny

We stayed in a “comfort bungalow” for 4 nights. I would recommend getting breakfast included and filling up on the pastries, baguettes, fruit and hot food as the island is very expensive. We also brought snacks from the mainland and had dinner at the hotel. The room was a good size, clean and with air con and a small fridge. The location is spectacular- right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The hotel also has a shuttle bus leaving at 1030 or 1300 to the “natural aquarium” at Oro Bay ( and back at 1500 for XPF 2780 pp. definitely worth the trip at least once. We would stay here again

My partner and I stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. The rooms are decent and well maintained, and the breakfast included is super yum. It's all made fresh every morning and there is more than enough for every type of breakfast person. The staff are super lovely and kind, and made our stay extra special. We were nervous when booking this accommodation because a lot of the reviews were old and also not very positive. I would say that most the reviews are pretty harsh, and it's a great place with the BEST resort beach. It's super sheltered from the wind and it's access to another beach enables loooong beach strolls. If you're looking for a comfortable room in a beautiful resort (with a great breakfast) at a reasonable price, this is a great option. Something to note that EVERYTHING in Iles Des Pines is about 2-3 times more expensive than Numea. So be prepared to pay a premium for anything you spend money on. Pro tip, there's a mini bar fridge in each room and we bought our own food and snacks from Numea. This helped with expenses and gave us another option other than the hotel dinner. Would recommend, and would stay again.

Nous nous sommes rendus au restaurant pour goûter les fameux bulimes. On nous annonce directement qu'il va y avoir de l'attente car le restaurant est plein alors que ce n'est visiblement pas le cas (nous sommes trois tablées) mais 15min pour des escargots cela nous semble correcte alors nous nous asseyons. Nous avons malheureusement mis 45 minutes à être servis deux assiettes de bulimes et avons dû deux fois relancer les serveuses pour savoir où cela en était. L'une d'entre elles était à peine aimable : "oui c'est bon ça arrive". Les escargots étaient délicieux mais nous essayerons ailleurs la prochaine fois.

Un séjour de 3 nuits parfait... Idéalement situé sur la plage de Kuto, chambre plutôt grande et propre, réceptionniste aux petits soins pour nous aider à réserver les excursions locales et/ou une voiture à un tarif correct. Petit déjeuner et dîner très corrects dans le restaurant juste sur la plage. Si je devais trouver un micro-bémol, il n'y manque qu'un snack pour midi, fermé suite aux évènements de 2024, qui on l'espère reviendra bientôt. Merci en tout cas pour cette chouette expérience !
