The room service is satisfactory. The deposit was not returned in time. I booked three rooms but only one was reserved for some reason. Because all the guests came from Shanghai, the hotel asked me to pay the deposit to forgive my mistake. When I checked out, they told me that they would refund it the next morning. It had not arrived at 3 pm and I had to call to urge them to get it.

This hotel is really the most comfortable hotel I stayed in during my trip from Nanjing to Suzhou and then to Zhuang Zhou. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic. She picked us up and sent us to the room. The hotel is 20 meters away from the entrance, which is super convenient and not as noisy as the scenic spot. The room is very beautiful and the decoration is very delicate. You can see that it is very attentive. The children especially like it. Highly recommended

The location is in the old town, on Zhongshan Road, with a superior location. There is a square behind it, which is very convenient for eating and shopping, and it is also convenient to take a taxi. It is a few hundred meters away from Tinglin Garden, and it takes more than 10 minutes to walk. The ticket is 20. The hotel has been renovated, the hygiene is very good, the facilities are very good, there are unlimited drinks and snacks in the small refrigerator, there is an indoor swimming pool and a gym, which are very clean. The hotel service staff is of high quality and polite, especially Elena, who has a very good service attitude and gave small gifts. The breakfast is also good. I am absolutely in love with this hotel! First of all, the hotel is located inside the scenic spot. One of the staff called me in advance to arrange a time to pick me up at the entrance of the scenic spot. My Chinese is not good so normally it's very awkward for me to speak over the phone in Chinese but she was very patient with me which I appreciate. Not only did she escort me to the hotel but she also carried my luggage for me. The decor inside the hotel has a beautiful, rustic asthetic which matches the feel of the ancient town. I really like table and chairs in my room, overlooking the pond. The pond also has koi fish and turtles! It was a beautiful touch that added to the overrall feel of the hotel. I loved these little details such as theovely traditional Chinese tea set (with a variety of complementary loose tea leaves), and the stylish coffee mugs. Unfortunately I came to Zhouzhuang during a severe typhoon which caused a leak and power cut in my room, so when I alerted the staff, they immediately gave me a new room. They even helped me pack my things so I can change rooms as soon as possible. The new room I went to was equally as beautiful. Not only is the hotel beautiful but it also has great amenities. Both rooms I stayed in had a stone bathtub which were both very deep -you could float it in! If you come here, I would recommend you bring some bubble bath with you like I did for maximum relaxation. I also made good use of the pool. The pool is a little small and a bit too shallow for an adult, but you can still have an enjoyable swim. Lastly, the tea room and cafés are also a nice addition to the hotel. My second room didn't have a table and chairs like the original one I booked, so I went to the tea room to eat my breakfast. It's also a cozy and comfortable room just to relax in if you're feeling lazy. As I have mentioned throughout this review, the service is second to none. Not only did the staff help me get to the hotel, but after I checked out they also carried my luggage and escorted me to the taxi. Throughout my stay I was offered fresh fruit and coffee several times, and as I mentioned earlier, I was immediately helped when I had to change my room. Whenever I struggled to communicate in Mandarin, the staff would try their best to speak English or would be patient with my hesitation or mispronunciation in Mandarin. This is probably the best ever service I have experienced on my travels. In summary, it's a beautiful hotel, in a convenient location with great facilities and helpful and kind staff. Not only will I come back again (and with my family next time) but I will recommend all my friends and colleagues to stay at this hotel if they ever plan to visit Zhouzhuang.

We chose the Crowne Plaza for its Western restaurant. Upon inquiry we asked about the restaurants and was sent to the 5th floor restaurant that only serves local cuisine. Again we asked the 5th floor restaurant where we can enjoy Western food. We were sent back down to the first floor where we found the western restaurant had closed down. It was upsetting to be sent from place to place and not properly informed about dining options. We had to enjoy a mediocre dinner in the nearby shopping center. The occasion was planned for the guest's bridal celebration dinner since she's leaving China and will get married abroad. I'm sorely disappointed in the uninformed restaurant manager and would hardly recommend staying at the Kunshan Crowne as the other Crowne Plaza's I've stayed at was a much better experience.

I checked into Room 3, which is in the middle. I arrived late, around 10pm. I was received by the security guard. I went in directly after I got my card, without registration. However, it's not an ideal choice when it's cold, because there are flying bugs outside the balcony on the lake. The bathtub on the balcony is covered with a tarp, and there are many flying bugs on it. It's said to be usable, but there are too many bugs, and the balcony outside is almost unusable. It feels desolate. It's tidy inside. The facilities in the room are a bit old, but it doesn't affect the use. It's very quiet at night, which is good for light sleepers. The overall environment is good. The breakfast is really bad (as shown in the picture). The service staff served the one in the picture. There was no choice. I had a bowl of porridge. Yachts are definitely indispensable when you come here. You can rent a small yacht for 15 minutes for 350 yuan. There is also a BBQ. There are tables arranged on the outdoor lawn, and there are also camping tents set up. I asked about the price and it was 120 or more than 200 per person. The overall experience is okay. It's more suitable for coming when it's hot. Except for the breakfast they sent me away, everything else is okay. The service is average, and it can't keep up with the service of the room price. The check-out time for late arrivals is also 12 o'clock.

Contact the housekeeper in advance to confirm the pet policy. The courtyard room I stayed in has its own independent small courtyard, where the dog can run freely. The housekeeper also thoughtfully recommended the surrounding routes suitable for dog walking - the plank road through the village, or a stroll on the stone road of Jinxi Ancient Town in the evening. The furry friends were excited and wagged their tails the whole time! The design of the public area of ​​the homestay is also very considerate, and the outdoor hot pot restaurant allows pets to accompany meals. The pork belly and chicken hot pot 🍲 ordered was delicious and tasty. The furry friends also ate it with relish. The soup base was very fresh and I will come back for other soup bases if I have the chance. Highly recommended to parents who want to enjoy a slow life with their pets~”

Room has an ageing look with dusts, bathroom is a bit mouldy. We came during winter and the room was like a chiller and took some time to warm up. The owner arranged his staff to pick us up on foot from a meeting point outside the ancient town as cars aren’t able to enter. However, his staff didn’t lead us back to the same pick up point even if had requested for help. We lost our way and thankfully my car driver was able to locate us. We booked a room for 4 but amenities were arranged for 2 only. We have to request for extra from bathroom items to pillows. Will consider other modern guests houses at the edge of the water village for the same price.
