Grand service apartment @ Times square

I booked the apartment through *********** twice for 2 separate stays in April. Both bookings were done on same day. This is what they did on each occasion: 1) on the day of arrival 3-5 April, a few hours before check-in, they amended my booking without any consultation and increased the price of the apartment by 40%. They advised BC they had made a mistake, which might have been believable if I did not spot other google and tripadvisor reviews of similar experience. I argued with BC about this and after several phone calls and 2-3 hours when i was stranded at airport/KL station without any accommodation, BC found me other accomm and refunded me the difference btwn my original booking and the new cost of new accomm. 2) 14 to 20 April - again on day of arrival a few hours before checkin, they amended the booking but this time, they changed the dates, without consultation, to the following week when I would not even have been in KL. They also increased the price. BC did get my original booking and price re-instated however by the time they messaged me, I had found other accomm. The owners of this place are scamming people who book. Unfortunately *********** and other platforms are still allowing these scammers to use their platform. It appears that the commission is more important than the safety of their traveller customers. On *********** unless you actually stay somewhere you cant put a review therefore the scammers are able to get away with it.

We arrived and had to wait 20 minutes just to check in. AHMED apparently the manager of this place who I spoke through WhatsApp never showed up. After 30 minutes a guy sent by this AHMED came with our key room,not able to speak English he just forced us to pay cash and more than what agreed on ***********. The situation escalated when he forced us to go to a ATM to get the cash plus a deposit otherwise he would have left us without room in the midfle of the night. We tried to call this AHMED guy which kept cutting the call off. Be far from this place,it’s a scam,they steal your money and the rooms are just smelly,dirty and disgusting!!!

A house of horrors! Unsafe electrical equipment, absolutely horrifically filthy mattress (I would not allow my dog to sleep on it), and stains on all soft furnishings. To call the apartment 'tired' would be understating the state of disrepair that this place is in. Not fit for rental! Shame on you!!!! I am sure other apartment owners in the complex would like to know how much of a fire risk this place is.

We booked through ***********. when we reached the property with all our heavy suitcases, this guy Mahfuz Ahmed refused to give us a room. When we asked why that is when we have a confirmed booking, he responded they don't keep reservations for "Bangladeshis, Pakistanis and Indians". When asked why they didn't tell us in advance, they said they didn't have our number (which is lie as booking profile has all the info). There were several others who tried to convince us that we should offer them more money then they might let us stay. This is a scam to increase the booking price. Upon reading several google and tripadvisor reviews, we realized this is a common practice of this property. The reason sites like Agoda, booking, Trivago doesn't have negative reviews about the property is because those of us who never stayed (due to their unprofessional and unacceptable style of dealing with us) are not allowed to write reviews. You can review only if you've stayed at this property. Furthermore, those who have stayed, said that they had to pay cash for the property. Probably because these people are running this complex illegally. They don't accept credit card payment as that leaves a trace. A total scam and wouldn't recommend booking this place. This is a special warning for my fellow Bangladeshi, Indian, and Pakistani travelers. There are plenty of good hotels around this location. Don't go to this place which is going to cheat you!!!
