Emerald Hotel

The stay at Emerald exceeded my expectations. The appertment was rather new and very clean. Staff was nice, but especially Maria made the trip really good. She is extremely helpful with for example booking taxi’s and she is a very kind person in general. Would definitely recommend going here :)

Just finishing a week's stay at the Emerald hotel, we have been pleasantly surprised. The grounds are very well looked after, the pool area clean and well maintained, never too busy, plenty of sunbeds, there is no lifeguard for your information, the pool was open until 7.30pm. The restaurant we have eaten at twice, food was delicious, service good, midrange pricing. I recommend the Greek BBQ night on Wednesday's, great food and entertainment. The rooms are cleaned every day with fresh linen, cleaning staff always happy to see you and attentive, they do an excellent job. Furniture in the rooms is adequate, beds are very comfortable, sofa beds not as comfy but fine. We paid for air conditioning, worth every penny, it was ice cool! Deposit box also an extra charge but reasonable and I recommend for your valuables while away from the room. Location is a 15 minute walk into the center of Kremasti, 5 minutes from the beach and 3 minutes to the bus stop, buses are frequent and easy to navigate. Bigger Supermarket near the bus stop, mini supermarket 'Anastasia', 1 minute from the hotel has a good selection and opens longer, the restaurant 'Ideal Bar' is next to here and is also worth a visit, we had a couple of tasty meals there. Special mention to the grounds man who I saw everyday maintaining the pools morning and evening, the grounds are so pretty, he takes pride in his job. Also special mention to Maria on reception who is so friendly and welcoming. Overall an excellent stay, I can confidently recommend the Emerald and being on the flight path didn't bother us at all.

I went here with my parent and younger brother. On the first day everything was very nice, that was until we came back to our room on the second day. After some time in the pool, we came back and our room had been made by the cleaners. Everything was great until my brother started crying that his teddy bear was missing. We thought nothing of it and thought he might have just misplaced it in the room. After the billionth time of searching we went down to reception to ask if anything was turned in. The receptionist hardly listened to what we said and simply said “nothing like that happens here” and we went back to our room. We started to think the cleaner had possibly taken this teddy bear. Our assumptions were confirmed a few days later. We were getting ready to go out to dinner and we heard a scream from one of the other rooms, followed by some crying. We thought it could have been some kids playing. As we walked to our restaurant we saw a girl crying outside and her family looking very worried. As we were at the restaurant, we forgot something and went back to the hotel. As we reached the apartment we saw a police car and police men talking to the family outside. We waited for an opportunity to ask the family if everything was alright as it seemed quite worrying. As they finished taking to the police officer we overheard the police officer saying “again???” And rolled his eyes. We asked the family if everything was alright and they spilled everything. They had not bought a safe for their valuables and all of a sudden €800 plus phones and devices were gone. We because very suspicious over all the staff from then on. We made sure to lock anything valuable away. Each day we asked the receptionist if she had heard of anything, always a no. Today, we were leaving and I overheard some people telling the receptionist that right after their room was cleaned, a necklace had gone missing from a table. The receptionist claimed she never heard of anything. If you read all of this I am very grateful. I am currently at the airport writing this WITHOUT the brown teddy bear. We never got the bear back. This is a warning! Beware the cleaners

15 minutes from the airport. This hotel is under the flight path to Rhodes airport and the planes are quite low when they pass but you soon get used to the noise and its not that bad to be honest. We stayed in room 410 which is a corner room, with two quite large rooms, although only one has the aircon unit but if the connecting doors are left open, it cools both. Two balconys which is a bonus even if the views are not exactly inspiring! Fridge, cups, glasses, knife & forks provided. Aircon is 10 Euros a day. We went half board, so were issued with a red wristband. Blue wristbands are for breakfast only. Meals are excellent from the very limited menu choice. Our two teenagers were happy with the menu but younger kids might struggle, unless there is a different menu for them? Always get the soup and definitely always get the Greek food! We could not fault any of the meals or the choices for the buffet breakfast. Be aware that the dining hall is not air-conditioned and is obviously still very warm in the evening. Staff are excellent. Very friendly, very attentive nothing is too much trouble for them. Drink prices are reasonable at 9 Euros for a cocktail and 5.50 Euros for draft Mythos. There is entertainment on some evenings. The pool area is kept very well and the pools are cleaned every night. Plenty of sunbeds to go round. A taxi from the hotel to Rhodes Old Town is 23 Euros (4 persons) but book this before 10am on the day you require it as taxis are in very high demand. Bus stop to Rhodes Old Town is at the top of the road on the opposite side to the My Market supermarket. Again, busses are very busy and you can wait a long time for one to come along only for it to be full of people from the airport! 5 minute walk to the beech. 20 minute walk into Kremasti along side the main road. Mini market 2 minutes walk.

When you arrive at hotel emerald the staff greets you with a smile and great service. Maria in the reception remembers you from the years prior and always greets you with the best mood and open arms. If you have a problem she fixes it for you, in a heartbeat. The staff is overall very thorough and forthcoming. We will be returnin!

Such a lovely trip here!! The staff, the rooms, the everything! Maria is always so happy to help out if you need anything😁 Would recommend 10/10, we was here last summer, this is the second time we are here and we are definitely coming back again next year :)
