Overall, really good place. There were a few minor shortcomings but nothing that left a negative impression of our holiday. To start with, it was our first all-inclusive experience, so nothing to compare it to. We booked the place without reading the detailed reviews first. Later, when reading a lot of reviews, we had an impression that our holiday is going to be not that great. However, it turned out, we had the best time ever! Yes, some things in the hotel are dated, or slightly scruffy, or don't work as well as they could. But how much time do you really spend indoors on a sunny holiday like this? We found the beds were big and comfortable, the rooms were spacious, with plenty of storage, mini fridge and air conditioning, fresh towels and bedding are provided daily. For us, this was enough to give us all we needed. There is a TV but it's pretty much a decoration as there are only a few basic channels in different languages with not much to watch. There is not much to do/see in the immediate proximity to the hotel, so you will need to hire a car or use a taxi as buses are not reliable and infrequent. The only 'sure-fire' bus to Kos town runs on weekdays at 9.30 once a day only, and if you want to catch it back you need to be done with your sightseeing by 1pm. However, the taxis are running all the time from the marina, in the centre of Kos, and the taxi rank is marked by a sign - you just need to wait there. The cost depends on the vehicle size, from 30 euro one way. Lido aquapark is a must-do, so much fun! It's theoretically walkable (around 20-25 minutes) but there is no pavement along the road, so you need to walk on the road edge. Not a very safe option as the road has a few turns, and in such heat that would not be an easy walk. Taxi can be booked through the hotel reception (it will be slightly more expensive this way - around 15 euro one way). On the way back you can just wait for a free taxi outside the entrance, or ask the Lido reception staff to call you one. Positive points for us were: - FOOD: very tasty and varied. Yes, some things are repetitive but there is still a lot to choose from. For breakfast there were different types of egg (fried, scrambled, omelette), several different cereals and yogurts, fruit, sausages and bacon, cheeses, breads, muffins, pancakes... For lunch and dinner there was always something new to try. The Greek night was amazing, Gala dinner as well. We can only praise the hotel's kitchen team. The snacks in-between meals are more limited but we hardly ever had them as each main meal was big enough to last till next time. You will never go hungry, guaranteed :-) - HOTEL GROUNDS: beautiful, clean and very well maintained. A few swimming pools around, so you can choose any of them to relax by. - BEACH: only a short walk away, plenty of sun loungers available - we never had a problem finding spare ones. Nice clean sand and the sea. - STAFF: Very helpful and friendly. Especially reception - they will answ
