Front desk amazing people!,Full of suggestions and always with smile! Easy check in and out! We stayed at the main building, top of the hill, with an amazing view. They have golf cart to go up and down to the beach. Due to the busy week we walked, very hard!

Stayed here recently with friends, and it certainly does have elements of being 5 star, however, I would rate it nearer 4. The complex is beautiful, albeit extremely hilly, but if you struggle, then just call for a buggy – the drivers of these were fab! We stayed in a family room, which was a great size, with plenty of storage. Towels were changed often, however we did have to source some toilet rolls as these were not replenished when we were running low. Food was a little hit and miss, but there was plenty of choice and staff were on the whole very friendly and helpful. Drinks were very nice – coca cola, sprite, fanta etc, along with wine, beer and a good selection of cocktails. Entertainment was mostly very good, however, the barman with the ponytail at the entertainment bar was very rude and abrupt – I would certainly teach him some people skills before next season begins. I appreciate that the bar area needs to run smoothly, however I have seen a lot of reviews saying the same thing about him, and I completely agree – we can’t all be wrong! All in all, we had a fabulous week – would I stay here again? Yes, absolutely! 

We had a great holiday! Nice clean accommodation . They leave you plenty of water bottles in fridge which you can re-fill from the water machines. Food lovely and great staff! Bar staff by entertainment pool really nice big shout out to the main guy Prof he's so nice and friendly and organises great fun in the day my son looked forward everyday to water polo. He def needs a new sound system the Hotel need to invest in this kept cutting him out! Also big shout out to Dei, Aris, Stellios,John and Yannis. Great shows in the evening and also a short walk into the main town loads of nice little street shops bars and great restaurants by harbour if fancy a change and a nice walk into it by the sea only takes 10 min. Book into the restaurant (by adult only pool although kids were there) was amazing food and nice cold wine & beer. (Nice cold beer can be had in a decent glass on the terrace late afternoon by that pool) Recommend getting up early to watch the sun rise on the beach and a short walk across the road to the beach the fish/snorkelling is amazing. Little Shop nearby does a good selection of bits lady is really nice in there but the town is not far. My couple of things to the Hotel is invest in Prof and a good sound system for him and the Tennis court is massive! and was hardly used. As a mum of a boy you should invest in somewhere for football/ basketball even half the tennis court so there is more for them to do. And enjoy the massive hill it's big but lovely views walking down from eating and the guys in there buggies always can give you a lift up and down if you need it. (Especially families with prams or people who may struggle) you can get staff to call them or call from your room/pool area wherever you are. But it's a great way of keeping off all the food and drink! Enjoy your holiday!

A fantastic week at the Grand Blue Hotel. The photos on the website really don’t do it justice! If you have mobility difficulties I would definitely think about where you would like your room and it is quite a ‘hilly’ resort. However there are buggy’s that taxi you around the resort. The entertainment pool was a favourite of ours and it had a brilliant atmosphere. My partner particularly liked the water polo! The beach is a little small but in a short walk you can reach parts of the sea that are perfect for snorkelling. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the closest town where you will find bars and restaurants. This was very handy if we weren’t fussed on the evening buffet but on the whole the food had something for everyone. We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous hotel and we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful holiday here. The food was excellent, with several restaurants in the hotel offering a variety of dishes. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and we had a spacious room equipped with all the amenities. Additionally, we enjoyed a relaxing massage by Sophia, who did an outstanding job. Overall, a fantastic experience!

We booked for oct 2024 so excited we was so disappointed the food was terrible we Went into town every night wish we never booked this hotel our room wasn’t always cleaned and We never got clean towels either there is no way this is 5 plus Hotel as for the hill you have to climb is very steep just don’t stay at this hotel honestly we spent a fortune with sea views etc as for the food if you like chips you need fine apart from hat shocking food took this pic of a coffee cup just not good at all

As a person who has to follow a gluten free diet I found the allergy advice disappointing, all food in the main restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner is serviced all had signs above the dish with different symbols such as fish to indicate fish was present, a corn to represent wheat and so on, some nights staff didn’t bother to tick the present allergens, leaving me not much faith on days they were ticked that it was correct information, also head chef told me some dishes were gluten free when I know they were not - such as bread battered chicken nuggets. I found myself to be unwell all holiday and wouldn’t hold much hope if I had a more severe allergy such as nuts On the other hand the staff were all so lovely and polite. Views were amazing a gorgeous complex

Recently stayed here for 4 x nights as a solo traveller. Beautiful hotel. Stunning location. Friendly & helpful staff. Delicious food. Short walk to the town. Really pleased to see the hotel's pledge to sustainability and the environment. As other reviewers have commented, this hotel is on quite a steep hill and so not very suitable for people with mobility issues. Otherwise, highly recommend.

Stayed here in Sept 24. Please be aware that this place is on a very step hill. Luckily enough, we were in the middle but it was still a struggle. You can call a golf buggy if you have problems walking etc. But the steepness is not stated in the Jet2 booking. To be fair, my husband and I are not fussy eaters and usually make the best of everything, but the food was dire in the restaurant. Things were cold and not the best quality. The chicken was just bones, same with the lamb. Salads and fruit were lovely but you don't want to live on that for a couple of weeks. The entertainment - was one bloke, who tried his best, but was most of the time disinterested. Stretching and water aerobics in the morning and either ping pong, darts or boules in the afternoon. The night time was ok, they had a few singers on - and an actual movie night (yes, they showed a film). Couldn't keep our room on, so had to go to the shower room. It is a massive place downstairs with 11 toilets (approx) and one shower. They could do with installing more showers. The walk into Kardamena is about 10 mins and not a bad walk. Met some great people there, but wont be going back.

This is a sprawling village style resort hotel with 3 lovely pools and manicured gardens, spotless throughout and great views. HOWEVER. The food is dire. Breakfast is ok, we had snack lunch down at the Cabana pool, but dinner is a write off. Lukewarm gristle, unidentified grey meats in a congealed sauce, no vege options other than boiled pasta. I mean it’s awful. We tried the a la carte restaurant and walked out- calling stale rolls topped with soggy tomato and unidentified white crumbled cheese as bruschetta is very poor. My friend’s chicken dish was inedible - dry, hard and no taste or seasonings. Do not waste an evening at the hotel for dinner. It’ll be full of regret. BEACH Nothing like the website- do not believe the photos. We travelled with Jet2 and complained and they said that the photos on their website referred to the town beach. But the hotel’s own website depicts a sandy beach- there is a strip of sand for a few sunbeds, but the sea is inaccessible due to rocks. You can walk 200m along to a sandy beach but can’t sit on the loungers as they belong to the hotel next door. The sea is clear and snorkelling is excellent. We walked about 10mins into Kardamena town and had lovely dinners and wine for about €20 a head. The views at breakfast are particulary stunning- we saw sunrise when going out for a day trip. The main bar with entertainment is undercover and if you smoke, you’ll be fine. If you don’t (we don’t) you’ll have to pull chairs out and sit by the pool otherwise you’ll smell like you’ve been in a pub in the 1980’s. Overall, stay at the hotel for the pools, the views, breakfast and a well laid out, beautiful, scrupulously clean, spacious resort hotel. Go into Kardamena for dinner. Don’t come if you want a beautiful beach that you can lie on- we have uploaded a photo of the hotel beach.

We very rarely do AI but got a cracking deal so gave it a go, not disappointed. Just the 2 of us but hubby snores so got a family room which had 2 separate bedrooms good size bathroom, safe, decent fridge and great air con in both rooms ,stunning view from room 277 could watch the sunrise on our balcony! It's built on a hill , separate blocks of rooms, we were ok but would be hard going if mobility an issue ,although I did see buggy things taking people around. Pool areas spotless ,we used the top one and good drinks from pool bar, im a coke fan and more than happy with cans of coke zero and bottles of Fanta lemon lol nice meal in the a la carte ,need to book , rest was buffet style and we found the food quite repetitive but didn't mind as alway intended eating in town too. The centre is a Lovley short walk on the path by the sea, so that was great ,and with a bit of entertainment on a night ( stopped for few drinks on way in to town) we really enjoyed...but the thing that let it down was the small beach area opposite that belonged to the hotel, it was a rubbish bit of beach made worse by the very old uncomfortable beds and scruffy unberrellas, we had beach days in Kardamena but would have been nice closer.

Immaculate views and clean rooms. Our room (184) also had a direct sea view from the master bedroom. Crystal clear water in the pools and great service everywhere you look! Staff really took the time with each guest; went above and beyond to fulfill every wish. The beach could have certainly been nicer but that is not fault of the hotel.

We stayed at the Grand Blue Beach Hotel last week and to be fair the hotel did not live up to the description from Jet2. On arrival we noticed the steep hill that the hotel is built on, reception is at the top of the hill so any queries or complaints entail a climb up a fairly steep gradient that is not suitable for people who struggle walking. (not mentioned in Jet2 brochure). Reception staff were welcoming, helpful and professional but once you have checked in, things get worse from then on. The hotel, the grounds and the location are really good, rooms are large and clean and we were blessed with a beautiful sea view and. However, the towels were thin and bedding had small holes in the sheets. We were told maid service was every other day not as described (Daily room cleaning service, linen changes and towel change). Sun beds around the pools are a problem as the sun shades cannot be moved so there is only limited shade available. the sunbed cushions are comfortable but could do with being replaced or washed and repaired. We used the buffet restaurant in the main building, at busy times, guests were looking for vacant tables, but with no waiting staff to help help them, tables were cleaned at a slow pace. However, one shining light was ELDA who was head and shoulders above the rest of the staff. The food was a real let down. The selection was poor, cold and mostly chips or pasta and dry, overcooked of meat. As for the show cooking (Jet2 description), that was non-existent whilst we were there. The 'restaurants' needs a major overhaul. Someone senior or an executive chef needs to sort the restaurants out, to provide variation and imaginative cooking not the poor offerings we got. Our daughter was staying at a 5* hotel in Rhodes at the same time and had five ala carte restaurants, Asian, Italian, Greek, and Mexican, etc, so why the difference when they are both 5*. Even the A la cart food is very poor. When it comes to drinks, we thought that Nicos (big shout out to him) was great in the main bar, however, the guy with the pony tail at the bottom pool bar was rude and arrogant and has no manners whatsoever. I would sack him if he worked for me. Lots of customers were saying the same about him. Overall, it was a good hotel great location, but let down by poor information and, what we consider to be very poor management and leadership. How can you run a hotel of that size when the manager (we assume) goes around in a baggy t-shirt and leggings when the reception staff have smart uniforms. The main building is new and very striking but the rest of the hotel and management need of a total overhaul for the sake of the hotel and its guests!
