Hotel Koala

Hotel is kept spotless clean in every way the serviced daily. Staff and owners are all lovely,pool small but nice snacks and drinks very reasonable restaurants and harbour all close by or taxi can be called at reception there in minutes. Boats trips from harbour very good

Everyone lovely from owners to cleaning staff. Hotel on outskirts of Kos town. Far enough to walk into but far enough away to be away from noise. Cleaning done every day. Breakfast only continental but enough. Bar open 24hrs and staff brilliant. Small pool but room for everyone. Very friendly and welcoming hotel would recommend.

Stayed at the Koala hotel 15th-25th September 2024. This family run hotel was lovely friendly and welcoming from Dimetrius his sister daughter mother were all lovely, and Dino in the evening behind the bar. The lovely ladies who worked in the dining room and the room staff always happy to chat and help in anyway they could. Breakfast was continental with a good choice of food and always fresh. The hotel was kept to very high clean standards and absolutely nothing was a bother to them from booking taxis or restaurants I will be very happy to recommend this hotel to friends and family and would happily stay again

All staff from Dimitris his sister brother in law daughter mother Dino and all the cleaning staff were fantastic. Check in was easy .The room had a broken mirror on arrival but was dealt with efficiently. Rooms were cleaned daily . Don't expect a English breakfast but what was on offer was enough for us . The bar was reasonable and food was good. They booked a taxi and restaurant for us in Zia using our room number. It is in a quieter location but was only 20 mins flat walking to old town and harbour. We cannot thank Dimitris and all his staff enough for a enjoyable stay . Read less

As with all hotel reviews we submit we will try and make it fair and balanced. Location: The hotel is situated on a quiet street near the marina and is an approximate 15-20 minutes walk into the centre of Kos town. The walk is along the seafront with a variety of restaurants on the way. We have previously stayed on the opposite side of town and found this a more pleasant location. Check in: We arrived late in the evening but check in was smooth and trouble free. Charges are pretty standard for hotels in Greece. Room tax 15 euros for our 10 night stay. Air conditioning 70 euros. Safety deposit box 25 euros. Late check out on our last day 30 euros. When you travel to Greece expect to pay these charges. Room: Compact. Comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom. Fridge. Small balcony. Limited storage facilities. Breakfast: Varied but the same most days. They do have toasters which was a bonus compared to other hotels we have stayed in. Pool area: Small with limited room and an area which doesn't particularly get much sunlight during the day and is in the shade quite a lot. Rooftop area: Small area which is simply for sunbathing and no bar/drinks facilities. Room service: All staff are conscientious but if you want to be certain you receive a cleaning service be sure to request this via the electronic request button when you leave your room. Bar area: Small bar with reasonably priced drinks. All staff are approachable and friendly and we couldn't fault them. In conclusion we had no major issues during our stay and would say if you are looking for a decent budget hotel in a good area of Kos town then this is worth considering
