Atlantica Mikri Poli Park (ex Carda Beach)

Wonderful location, wonderful staff, fantastic selection of food. Every member of staff we met was so pleased to help and serve us. Overlooking the sea it is built on the side of a hill and there are ramps and slopes for easy access including golf buggy service for guests requiring help to higher rooms with panoramic views. Lots of bars and snack places to top up on. The specialist restaurants require booking but are well worth the great service and food.

Had such a great 2 week holiday at this hotel, pools are amazing and the waterpark although small (5 slides) us enough to keep kids entertained, activities throughout the day are amazing bar staff in pool bar near activity pool always had smiles on their face especially Ledianna who was amazing. Food in main restaurant was of good standard but a little repetitive which is to be expected when in an all inclusive hotel we visited both the Asian and HV Diner à la carte restaurants and the food was exceptional. Plenty of sunbeds and space throughout the day, close proximity to the airport (15minutes) and close to town of Kardamena which was a gentle 10 minute walk from hotel with lots of bars and restaurants that were all reasonably priced all in all a great holiday and would definitely return. HV entertainment team were all amazing! Everyday they would run a whole list of activities from 1030-1600 which included daily quiz, bongo bingo,waterpolo football, evening entertainment was a variety of shows and quizzes aimed at all ages, the shows the staff put on such as "rave" was a personal favourite and the external local acts that came in were also amazing! Special mention to JoJo, John,Val, Molly B and Joao as they were all exceptional. Would definitely return to this hotel again as it's perfectly situated in the heart of Kos.

Not a good hotel unfortunately. There are many areas which need drastically improving which include: Food - repetitive, cold and generally cheap rubbish with the exception of the freshly made pizzas. No local cuisine just fatty cuts of meat in sweet sauces we ended up eating out 4 nights out of the 7 we stayed as it was such poor quality. Drink- again cheap local plonk did wonder if any of the drinks contained any alcohol, basically imagine the cheapest spirits at a home bargains and this is what you get. Wine so acidic and harsh it’s undrinkable and the local beer is worse than fosters. Water is also undrinkable and tastes stagnant. Iced coffees are ok. Al a carte restaurants - we couldn’t book into any until the last day as they were all showing full on the booking app. Asked the reception staff for help who told me no and it was tough luck. Eventually after logging on every day we eventually found a free table. This was very disappointing and you feel like you have to beg to get what you’ve paid for. Staff - generally not good reception staff are horrendously rude and uninterested, bar staff are also hit and miss. The cleaners came off aggressive just an unpleasant place to stay. Rooms - ok but not clean enough we stayed in a family room the bed for my son was not adequate. The look on the door was broken and the safe did not work for the first few days so had to carry our passports and cash everywhere we went. Aerial adventure - closed limited things for children to do dispute paying for a holiday village which is supposed to be geared up for kids. Maybe we were unlucky when we stayed here but doubt it as lot of guests were complaining when we were here and their answer was they were understaffed. I complained to Tui on our return and the Tui rep when we were there and was promised a £100 voucher but this was denied when we got back. I’ve never complained before about a holiday but genuinely feel like we were due compensation as it was such a rubbish holiday. I will never book with Tui again nor go to a holiday village resort.

We didn’t initially boon this hotel but were moved last minute after the hotel we booked closed. Having read some of the reviews beforehand I was a little nervous. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, no complaints at all. Lot of comments about the hills, we got lucky and were right next to the facilities but I could see if you were at the top of the hill it could be an issue. Staff very friendly all around. We didn’t see much of the entertainment but seemed like the usual kind of thing you’d expect. Poolside entertainment was great for kids. Food was a little repetitive and a bit cold for my liking, but if you choose well some tasty dishes can be found. The pizza for example is fantastic. It’s a shame there is no way to book more than one of the speciality restaurants (we were happy to pay) these were largely very empty so not really sure why they aren’t making more of them, would eliminate the issue of food being repetitive! Pools are fantastic and never an issue finding sun loungers, great being able to see out to sea from poolside. Location wise, easy walk into town. Beach is literally on the doorstep. Some great water sports available if that’s your thing. Overall, yes some things could be better, but we had a great week and ultimately that’s what matters.

Stayed here for 10 nights in October as a family of 4 with a toddler and a baby. We had the most amazing holiday here and have since been looking at when we can return! We got a free upgrade to a sea view family suite. Hugely spacious room with a great balcony which is also safe for children. Both cots were there on our arrival as requested. The only minor issue is that we were now on the second floor and there are no lifts which meant we had to carry our double buggy up and down stairs. Nothing to complain about but just a heads up for other people planning to bring a pram, to make sure you are on the ground floor. We were incredibly happy with the food. Breakfast was just perfect. We liked having the option of the main restaurant or Italian restaurant for breakfast. Lunch, we couldn’t believe the many options! Gyros, pizza and pasta bar, sandwich and wrap bar, or the general buffet restaurant. We were very happy with dinner. Never got bored of the options at the buffet, plenty of choice. We used our 1 a la carte in the Greek restaurant and the food was amazing. We then asked in reception if it would be possible to book another and they allowed us to also book the American Diner as they had extra availability. This was very kind of them as we knew we were usually only allowed 1 a la carte visit per stay. One of our favourite parts of this holiday was the coffee bar. Margareta and the other lady who worked there were two of the friendliest people we have ever met. They were both so loving with our daughters and it made us all look forward to going to see them and enjoy a coffee and a sweet treat every day. Other positives: The stay and play sessions in the kids club were great. So many toys that both of my daughters loved it in there. I wish I would have found out about it earlier in our holiday. The beach was great. The sea water was nice and warm despite it being end of October. Never struggled to find a sun lounger and great sand. Loved how close we were to Kardemena. Very easy to walk to for a nice browse around souvenir shops, the harbour and to stop for an iced coffee Good choice of cocktails in the hotel. Nice atmosphere around the pools. They were just way too cold this time of year. It’s a shame one of them couldn’t be heated. Used spa and the gym, decent facilities. Few pieces of gym equipment need fixing but made do and wasn’t really a problem. The only negative that we had is the locks on the room doors. You are not able to lock the doors from the inside, as they automatically lock from the outside and can only be opened from the outside with a room key. However, we did not like that as we were not able to lock the door from the inside or at least put a latch across as the door opened into the lounge where our toddler slept. I felt like this was a little unsafe. Our daughter could also reach up and open the door handle herself so we had to block the door. Another minor negative which we have seen in other reviews

Travelled as a family, 4 adults, 2 children. Mid October. We had a great holiday and felt very relaxed after the break. Positives Lovely large rooms with comfy beds. Very easy to get served at the bars, staff were good. We tipped from time to time, they have a pot on the bar. It's easy to get change as they have a change machine to get 1 and 2 euro coins. Kids club. Our kids loved the sessions and the parties. Staff were great. Sabbi, Amy, Jade, Jamie, Quan helpful with queries. Had an issue at check in as the club was close to capacity one day but this was resolved quickly via the manager. Good playground just by kids club. Check on still takes too long!!! Same as other HVs. Water park was fun. Cold pools but we had a go on the slides! Town was a 12 min walk away. Lovely bars and shops. Our favourite was Crossroads, then Stone Roses. Prices for a mythos ranged from 3 to 5 euros. Food was great. A bit annoying we couldn't go to all alacartes as it was quiet but we enjoyed a trip to the Asian and the diner. The lovely lady on reception sorted this booking for us. We always found something good to eat. Daytime there is the main restaurant and then little areas underneath there with pizza, pasta, sarnies, toasties, ice cream and cake. Over at the quiet pool is gyros. At night there is the main and the Italian buffet at the quiet pool, you can use either but we preferred the main. Drinks were good, no complaints. Entertainment. Mixed thoughts here! The hv staff did activities throughout the day around the main pool areas, these were great. Night time Entertainment was not great. They had something on at the sports bar most nights, this was OK. HV entertainment was still in the amphitheatre and it was too cold!!! One night they did a quiz and some dancing at the activity pool area, this was so much better, our best night. Daughter enjoyed the aerial adventure and zorbing. Sunbeds were comfy, beautiful grounds and amazing views. Weather on the whole was good, a few windy days. Negatives This wasn't a negative for me but the resort is hilly and steep. Just a head ups. Pools were freezing!!!! Kids would not go in them. Flights there and back we had issues and I wasn't happy, this has been raised with TUI. We actually just jumped in a taxi after our outbound flight to get to the hotel quicker as I was annoyed after the journey. 20 euros and took less than 10 mins and we beat the crowds! Coach took about 30 mins on the way home, there were a few stops. I didn't get to know any of the purples, usually I know a lot of them. Not sure if they were on wind down? Tui rep also not the friendliest. . Water was annoying, you got a bottle in your room upon arrival then that was it! We probably wouldn't go back as we like to try different places but we definitely recommend the hotel.
