Colonides Beach Hotel

Wonderful experience! Hotel - up and down the hill the 2 levels of the small, quite and comfortable blocks with rooms. Pool - 2 pools , whereas one is an infinity pool with spectacular sea view on horizon. Restaurant - tasty and ‘designed ’ plates for lunch and dinner. Entertainment- theme nights-saxophone life music. Sport - yoga place with breathtaking sea view. Service - dedicated personal approach- Goulia and Angela during the breakfast time- arranged vegan milk and yogurt specially for me , Marianna , Gregory, Yiannis on the reception managed to find and book an appointment in local hair saloon, Vasilis ( the owner) entertained my son while I was chilling out with saxophone rhythms. Amazing team also in the Peroulia beach restaurant, where you can have a free sun bed, if you book the hotel directly from its website. Thank you Nicos ( owner) , George , Stavros , Yiannos, Panayiotis and Beach “boss’ - Panayiotis ! Can not think something more I could ask for. Definitely will return again ! Looking forward also to train in the new fitness studio ( under construction) !

We stayed here for one week and was absolutely delighted with the Hotel and location. The rooms were basic as some have commented previously, but had everything you could need and were very clean. The communal areas around the 2 pools were fantastic and had amazing sea views. The breakfast was standard hotel B&B stuff but always plentiful and decent. ALL the staff we dealt with in our stay were really friendly and excellent, would definitely stay there again without reservation as it was hard to fault if you are looking for a quiet decent hotel in the area (There are also a few good restaurants walkable from the hotel towards the beach and also in the little village nearby as well as a nice restaurant/bar in the hotel itself)

The location, the restaurant and the pool were perfect, I couldn't wish more. The staff was very kind and helpful, always trying to fulfill all our wishes. Also the moonlight concert with dinner by the pool was great experience. The rooms are big and very clean, but the furnishing and bath would desperate need a renovation. Not worn up, but old (app. from the nineties). For this value of money the room could look better.

We stayed in one of the junior suit and we were excited to stay at this hotel having read all the positive reviews, but we got really disappointed beginning to end of our staying. To start with the hotel is quite big and feels more like a tourist village than a boutique hotel. The overall look, feel, decoration especially of the reception and rooms is really old fashioned and dated. It always looked clean but for what we paid we were really expected a luxury experience, whereas this compare at best to a 3 star hotel. There’s no attention to detail anywhere, not on the interior design, not on the breakfast presentation and even the staff uniforms look really standard. The communal infinity pool seemed nice but if you’re traveling as a couple and hoping for a romantic stay this might not be the place. The pool was full of kids playing and splashing around, which is also nice but there should be more clarity on the hotel website that even though there are two pools, none of them are adults only. Also if you’re looking at booking the junior suit, please don’t fall for the ‘swimming pool in the room’ detail. It’s a nice concept but the overall feel of the room was basic and old fashioned and having a private pool didn’t make it moreromantic. The wifi didn’t work properly and we had to call the staff a few times to get it fixed but it never quite worked. The 4g or 5g doesn’t really work where the hotel is located so do consider how much you might need connections when you come to this place. The breakfast is standard and basic with not even fresh orange juice that is quite normal in this area. None of the staff in the breakfast area ask you if you’d like any type of coffee from the bar; they just let you use the automatic coffee machine. If you’re someone who travels a lot and normally stay in luxury boutique hotel, you will not like this place.

The location is superb- a beautiful, quiet site , surrounded by olive groves, looking out onto azure sea! The hotel has two swimming pools, both spotless and immaculately maintained and its own little private sandy beach, with good swimming. There were plenty of seats ( including shade) available by the pools. The nearest village is a short drive or walk uphill ( fine to walk in the evening) with a general store and a couple of dining possibilities. The nearest larger beach is a short drive or walk downhill and offers beach loungers and umbrellas, a couple of restaurants and toilet facilities. The hotel has a deal with the management here, so beach beds are included in the hotel rate. The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful and the food available for breakfast, lunch and dinner is excellent- the most refined dining we had on our holiday this year. The food is more expensive here than at local restaurants, though, which also serve tasty traditional food. So there is a nice choice available and we also tried all the local restaurants. I’d nonetheless give my area food prize to the hotel for its fish tartars, shrimp risotto and beef cheeks at dinner - all really delicious ! Our room was fine , with a comfortable bed. We stayed in one of the luxury rooms…so the review is according to our experience. The location and the view is extraordinary. The room was clean and just excellent as well as the room service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast of limited variety comparing to a biggest hotel, but the quality was excellent with a home-made sense. The pool in front of the restaurant very nice and the beach just underneath the hotel (not the organised one) is just amazing especially for kids. We will definitely go back.
