Hacienda Fisherman's Village Koh Samui

Booked this 14 months ahead as part of a month in Koh samui and wanted to spend first week here as spending a lot of time in evening in fisherman’s Village as this was perfectly placed etc. 3 months before we booked got a short email saying they overbooked and after one more email our booking was cancelled leaving us trying to find another good place to book . Not the way to treat people as when we booked there were loads of rooms so they have made mistake during the year and rather than keep the earliest booking they decided to cancel us and wouldn’t expand on why it had to be us and not later bookings . Very disappointed with there attitude and doing this to us . They don’t care and their customer service and attitude disgraceful .

The rooms are very clean and the cleaner was excellent. The roof in the bathroom was showing damp and water damage as was above the air conditioning unit. The hotel is in the quieter side of fisherman’s village, however if you didn’t have a sea view it would be very very noisy. The pool area consists of 4 sunbeds and a small pool, which could have been cleaner. However you get a great ocean view. For the money the hotel is okay but far from luxurious

A little bit of heaven!! We booked a ground floor room and were given room 2 which was great, a spacious room and a good sized bathroom with a terrace outside and below a lower terrace with 2 sun loungers on and the views were great. The staff were all happy, friendly and always ready for a laugh, a credit to the hotel. The only disappointment was that on booking it was advertised that there was parking at the hotel so we rented a car, but on arrival at the hotel, there was no parking. For parking we had to use the car park a short walk away and for the 6 nights was 500 beats.

It was our 1st time on Koh Samui and hence Fishermans Village. The reception we received at check-in was so lovely, friendly , jovial, and really genuine. We'd booked an Exclusive Sea front room (we got number 2) and paid about £380 for 5 nights. The second I walked into the room, I said I may not leave it, and for a lot of our 5 nights, I didn't!! It was stunning. It had everything we wanted! The room was really nicely decorated, big TV with Netflix etc, really comfy bed, excellent air con and a ceiling fan. Good size bathroom, shower was hot but very little pressure. The outside space was just lovely! A very comfortable day sofa/lounger, decking area with table and chairs facing the most stunning of views. Lower patio had 2 sun loungers and lead to the beach!! The room and outside area was kept spotlessly clean. House keeping just appeared almost by magic! Once we only left the room for a few minutes and when we returned it had been cleaned, outside too, furniture was moved and deck swept every time!! The swimming pool is on the roof, up maybe 50 steps, so be aware if this could be an issue with mobility. Water was provided via a 1ltr glass bottle that you refilled from a cold water machine - excellent idea, more should do this. We didn't have breakfast but it was available at a small charge. The only thing that let this hotel down was the lack of pressure in the shower, normally this would bother us, but it was almost irrelevant as we loved the room so much!! We loved Fishermans Village so much, we changed our last 4 nights (of our 60) to come back, unfortunately, Hacienda wasn't available!! Definitely will stay again!

A very friendly welcome , very comfortable room/bathroom and a balcony with a great view. bright/light decor and comfortable bed , the room was decorated well and quite spacious overall. I would highly recommend this hotel especially as there are good restaurants and bars within metres.

The moment we arrived the staff have been wonderful. We are currently writing this review while we are still here. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Everything you need for a great stay on the beach. Our room was always cleaned daily and there is also beach towels available and cleaned when you need them.I was very impressed by the timing of the cleaning. When we are out for breakfast, they are busy cleaning your room. When you return, your room is all yours to enjoy without being disturbed. The staff also booked our ferry to Koh Tao and our day tour of Koh Samui, which was excellent as well. Don’t hesitate to book your stay with Hacienda Fisherman’s Village. Location is wonderful as it is away from all the noisy bars so you can have a peaceful sleep but close enough to walk to all shops and restaurants. Downside is that there are no beach chairs 😢 so book the room with beach access
