Hotel dekat Guan Yu Shrine, Koh Samui

This sea view villa is really nice! The environment is particularly beautiful and the view of the sea is amazing. Every morning when I wake up and see the beautiful scenery outside the window, my mood improves. The infinity pool is really cool and my friends and I had a great time. The service team is also great and can provide Chinese service. The staff are very enthusiastic and helped us solve many minor problems. The food in the villa is also excellent. The seafood for dinner is particularly fresh, and there are many varieties for breakfast. It is very satisfying. All in all, this vacation experience was really great!

Amazing resort! Couldn't Reccommend it highly enough! I see the effort of the staff every day with the fruit and water around the pool to all guests and the environment so well kept. They even provide a small treat before sleep on the bed waiting and throughout our stay the upmost care and attention to all needs of their customers. We stayed in the pool villa 2 bedroom style house and it was unbelievable. The Chinese new year spread and events were also very nice as we live in China as expats! Really wish people to pay attention to this resort! 5☆

The good: my room was very clean, modern, great condition, nicely decorated, comfortable bed, great shower, good toiletries, robes and slippers provided. Housekeeping came daily. View of the beach from room was very nice. Free shuttle to Lamai city. Some stores, bars, restaurants within walking distance plus lots more available in the city via the free shuttle. The hotel doesn’t allow lounge chairs to be reserved before a certain hour so you don’t have to worry about every seat being taken before the sun is up. The bad: they advertise having a private beach and I paid a premium to be on the beach but this beach is disgusting. A dumping ground for plastic bottles and other trash. The hotel does seemingly nothing to maintain it. There are elevators but they go to half floors so there is no way around taking stairs which is a pain in the heat and if you have luggage. Breakfast didn’t have enough continental breakfast options - that’s just a personal preference. Also much of the breakfast buffet has no covers and there are gnats buzzing around the food. Little bugs and ants everywhere around the pool area. Pool not particularly clean.

Excellent, typical of a five star hotel

A good hotel with excellent service. The disadvantage is the location. It is located at the end of Lamai, where the shore and the entrance to the water are rocky. Therefore, if the beach is important to you, you should look at hotels in the center of Lamai. Excellent friendly staff, always ready to help. Of the significant shortcomings, I can note the breakfasts. The choice of dishes is excellent, the cook is excellent, but everything is spoiled by the fact that the dishes are cold. It would seem that putting warming candles under containers with dishes is a penny issue, but this is not done, and everything instantly cools down.

Great location, quiet place, next to the beach, nice beach, recommended for who are looking for swimming in the sea,I was selected pool access room that was great room, large area with the big bath tub and easy to assess to the pool, in this hotel have 2 swimming pools that comfortable for family or group of friends, staffs all friendly and helpful.

First, about the minuses, because they need to be remembered. Probably the main one - the road is nearby, my windows overlooked the road (I was reluctant to pay extra for the rooms opposite, with an awesome view of the pool and the sea, I decided that I would not be in the room most of the time anyway), hence the noise, the soundproofing of the windows is completely absent. Sometimes even earplugs did not help (but this is rare, only when a crazy motorcyclist decided to show everyone how smart he is by making noise at night). The second minus, of my particular room, was a leaking toilet tank, sometimes I managed to deal with it, sometimes not. But I guessed to tell the staff about it only when checking out. It was annoying, but not very much. That's all about the minuses. Pros and emotions. Let's go. Incredibly friendly and nice hotel staff. The rooms are clean, every day they offer water, tea, etc., if necessary, they will clean the room. No insects were noticed in the room, no ants, no bedbugs, even the geeks didn't brighten up my loneliness) A nice and clean pool, the area is clean and well-kept. Everyone is busy. At night, there is a duty officer, I left the key with him so as not to carry it with me and not to lose it. You can also rent a bike here, but they talked me out of it, since I have no driving experience at all. They also talked me out of it at the rental company) they didn't want me to crash. It's sad, but thanks for the concern. It's about 10 minutes on foot to the sea. I can't say it's close, but I'm not too tired of walking either. In general, if I ever find myself on Samui again, I will most likely stay at this hotel.

I love this place. The people are very friendly. The staff were very helpful and I always came back to a clean fresh room. I love that my little ”house” has windows on all 4 sides, so plenty of natural light but also fully covered with curtains for privacy. There was a little ”kitchen” space with a fridge, kettle and simple dishes for when I brought food back to my room. The location is great!! Far enough away from any craziness but so close to everything. There's a pool available to use and even a bike rental 2 minutes walk from the place. Super happy with my stay here!!

Great location next to a beautiful uncrowded beach. The beach is immediately “deep”, you don’t have to walk for a long time. A little far from the “movement”, but you can walk to it in about 10 minutes. Breakfast is a la carte (choice of 4 sets), you won’t leave hungry. I especially recommend set d. You can play pool for free. The hotel area is well maintained. Don't leave food in your room, ants will come. But this is typical for most hotels.

CENTARA life, Koh Samui, Lamai Gleich vorweg: Das Centara Life ist m. E. kein Urlaubshotel, eher ein Business-/Wochenendhotel … ich hatte mich auf ein CENTARA-Hotel gefreut, aber:  Nicht überall wo CENTARA drauf steht ist auch CENTARA drin … es ist irgendwie ein völlig neues Hotelkonzept, Positionierung zwischen „high class“ und „normal class“  … Zimmer dicht an dicht, Balkon einer neben dem anderen, getrennt mit einer dünnen Holzwand … 4 Stockwerke hoch … damit sehr viele Zimmer, die aber sind überraschend groß, sauber und äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet … Ich habe ein Zimmer mit großzügigen Balkon … jetzt das ABER: die Aussicht hat nichts mit grüner Natur der Insel geschweige türkisfarbenen Wasser zu tun, ich blicke auf einen Parkplatz, einen großen Strommasten und auf die Dächer von unzähligen Häusern/Hütten … einige von denen wandeln sich abends zu lauten Sport-Bars und Kneipen um … lautes Gedröhne von nah und fern bis weit in die Nacht, nein - bis in den nächsten Morgen … abends sitze ich mit Oropax auf meinem Balkon und versuche zu lesen… trotzdem dröhnt es … im Restaurant des Hotels ist dagegen nichts los … nur gut, dass ich nicht auch noch die vom Reiseveranstalter angebotene Halbpension gebucht habe … der Swimmingpool - klein aber fein … 15 Liegen finden Platz … der tolle Strand von Lamai ist fussläufig in  10 Minuten erreicht.  Unterm Strich: das CENTARA life ist ein modernes Hotel, gehobene Ausstattung, große Zimmer und ich treffe auf ein durch und durch kompetentes Personal; die Umgebung ist sehr laut, ist schrill, lädt zu einem „Massage- und/oder Bier-Marathon“ ein - promenieren, gemütliches Laufen in der in nur ein paar Schritten entfernten Hauptstraße ist ab 19:00 nicht möglich - dicht gedrängter Verkehr inmitten lauter Musik-Bars, Souvenir-Shops und Thai-Restaurants …
