Resolution Resort

This was a last minute change. Though not quite my style, we got an end-of-season discount that made it an excellent value, so I grabbed it. The buildings, rooms, and overall layout are very attractive, with well integrated grounds, pool and open air cafe and great views. It has the atmosphere of a high-end resort at a budget watchers price. Quite remote, it is located at the very tip of the island. No sandy beach here. The nearest restaurant is about 2 km away. Across the street is a National Park jungle so monkeys occasionally drop by for a visit. There is very good parking if you bring your car, but at the minimum, you'll want to rent scooters. The staff is very helpful at advising on various options. One piece of advice: they should do a little more maintenance. For such a nice place, details are noticable. For example, there is a spiral stairway ascending from in front of the reception to a jacuzzi on the roof. It is in need of fresh paint, and being a guest's first encounter, it reflects poorly on the site.

A beautiful hideaway in koh Chang’s bang bao bay with sea views situated in jungle greenery alive with natural wildlife (monkeys ) and a private small boat that crosses the bay to kong koi beach . Having visited this island over the last 15 years and seeing it change this place offers the peace and tranquility that koh chang had in its now busy locations. The pool and restaurant offers convenience and comfort on site with great selection of breakfast lunches and dinners with its panoramic views of the bay . The staff were very helpful and friendly , it took them no time organising transport for us / a moped is needed here but like most of the island you need one to explore! After a day of scooting around the island arriving back to this tropical peaceful paradise was a dream , we didn’t want to leave and I will definitely be returning. Just want to thank the Team , victor and his family for making us so welcome and accommodating.

I want to express my appreciation for the polite and welcoming attitude of every staff member we encountered during our stay, despite the challenging circumstances. However, it's crucial to share our experience to prevent others from facing similar disappointment. The photos displayed online present a misleading image; the entire 'resort' appears dilapidated and almost abandoned, far from the advertised representation. The premises were unkempt, rundown, and gave the impression of being unfinished or under construction. Surrounding amenities, such as shops, bars, or accessible beaches, were non-existent, and the 'free shuttle' promoted turned out to be a small, old boat hardly larger than a kayak. Additionally, the absence of a functional swimming pool, due to ongoing construction mentioned in an email received long before our check-in, was disappointing. Continuous disturbances like drilling and electrical noise persisted throughout the day. Upon arrival, we promptly informed the reception of our decision not to stay, highlighting the vast discrepancy between their advertised offerings and the reality we encountered. They were empathetic, refunding us 50% of the cost and providing a complimentary night in an upgraded room, given the island's peak season and limited alternative accommodations. Regrettably, our experience wasn't unique, witnessing other couples arriving with identical grievances and promptly leaving after just one night. It's disheartening to see a lack of dedication, investment, and attention to detail in a place marketed online as a luxurious resort. I must emphasize the exceptional politeness and helpfulness of all staff members, from the owner to the waiters and cleaners. However, due to our substantial financial loss and feeling misled, I find it necessary to share this review.

Great place, pets friendly, this place has a charm, professional and welcoming stuff, good food. Highly recommend this hotel. Family holiday location, or romantic getaway. You will enjoy this place, far from tourist noisy routine. One of my favourite places in Thailand.

Beautiful & serene landscape. Simple & practical room. Friendly & super helpful staff. Feel more likes a peaceful stay in your holiday home than a bustling, full of activities hotel. A bit far in the southern most of the island but definitely worth the effort.

Vrai petit coin de paradis, au milieu de la jungle dont on entend les bruits. Parfait pour qui recherche le calme et le confort. Staff adorable et aux petits soins, serviable et à l’écoute. Ils se plient en 4 pour les clients (appel service taxi, navette, réservation snorkeling). Chambres récemment refaites et décorées avec goût. Équipements complets. Aucun problème de wifi lors de notre séjour. La piscine est charmante, eau très douce (pas de chlore) et température parfaite. Jardin magnifique. Service de navette en bateau à heures fixes en fonction des marées pour aller à Bang Bao (le port) et Klang Kloi (la plage). Petit déjeuner au top (choix entre plusieurs formules). Certes, les prix du restaurant sont plus élevés que ceux d’un street food (normal!!) mais restent tout à fait raisonnables. Le restaurant ferme tôt, mais comme tous ceux de Bang Bao (2 ouverts max après 20:00). Facilement accessible en scooter ou en taxi (qui prennent un peu plus certes mais prix toujours raisonnable si l’on met les choses en perspective). La route d’accès est charmante bien qu’elle soit escarpée (comme toutes les routes de l’île!!), également praticable à pied le jour.
