It was disappointing that I could not stay more than a night in this beautifully appointed hotel. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They catered to all our needs. It was a short stay but made memorable by the service and the delicious food. Each and every staff member made us feel at home.

Fabulous hotel, but it was ruined by the proximity of the noisy ferries constantly going backwards and forwards from one side to the other. There are three restaurants to choose from and we ate in two of them. One evening I had Railway mutton curry, which was delicious. All rooms are sea facing. The bedrooms are very well furnished with a lovely bathroom with shower and bath. The swimming pool was a lovely temperature. Afternoon tea at 5pm was delicious with cakes and savoury options. The staff were very accommodating.

I had a very peaceful stay at Brunton and everyone I met was very kind and helpful. My only complaint is that the outings and activities (such as walking tour, high tea, boat ride) were not fully explained and it would have been nice to have them written down in the room or given at reception. A few people I especially enjoyed were Akshay the bartender out on the deck, Jasmine at the front desk and Saneesh my tuktuk driver. Thank you so much for making my stay extra warm!

This hotel was a splurge for me, but I went for it considering it took me 2 days to get to India from the US. I am so happy that I made the choice. The hotel is gorgeous and in a great location. Staff is so helpful and friendly. My room was huge and I appreciated the lovely details such as recycling, glass bottles of water, outlets by the bed. Additionally, a nice big breakfast was included, as was high tea, sunset boat ride, and historical walk. A great value hotel and I was truly sad to leave! If I return to Kochi I will absolutely be back.

An absolutely magnificent hotel, beautifully done. Every aspect of their service was exquisite. Starting with breakfast service where you had a choice of continental items and freshly made to order, South Indian specialties and filter kappi (coffee) to boot. We were out and about for lunch but came back for High Tea. Worth staying there just for that. Dinner was again extremely good. Rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. Waking up to the view of the harbor and the backwaters was just amazing. As for the people that work there, all seem to be very happy and that tells in the service you get. Everyone of them serve you with a smile and nothing you request is turned down. It is close to a lot of shopping, Jew town and some quaint boutique hotels. An amazing place to stay.

Our favorite place to stay by far. This was our fourth stay here. We like the fact that it only has a small number of rooms and has a boutique hotel feel to it. Its location is great. It is a short walk to ferries that one can take to Ernakulam thereby cutting down on travel time. The restaurants are excellent and there is no need to leave the property to find other dining options if one is not inclined to leave the place. The Armory restaurant with its outdoor seating area is our favorite and Vysakh and Fredy made sure to keep our glasses topped up and plates always full. There are many on site activities like the yoga session, history walk around Fort Kochi, high tea, evening boat cruise offered by the property and we have at one time or another made use of them.

Stunning building by the busy Arabian Sea. 5 star food and beautiful rooms. We stayed for 2 nights and we were treated like VIPs which made us feel very special. The hotel is located in the old Kochin town where walking to all the amenities is very accessible.

A super hotel. Wonderful, attentive staff and excellent service. The hotel was beautifully presented throughout and we had the comfiest bed and pillows. As previous reviews have said there is a noisy, fuel smelly ferry that departs and arrives throughout the day right next to the hotel. We saw this as authentic India but it maybe would disturb if you were looking for a quiet, restful hotel. We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour so the ferry didn’t concern us. The hotel thoughtfully provide earplugs next to the bed. The food was good but we were restricted as to where we could eat as on a pre booked half board arrangement.
