We chose this destination based on its positive reviews, but we were forced to find alternative accommodation as it did not match the description and the staff were unhelpful and uncommunicative. The property was unclean when we arrived (the toilet was disgusting, the shower barely worked as it needed descaling and we found a previous guest’s earplug and sunglasses by the side of the bed - see photos), and despite being cleaned whilst we were there, there were still ants everywhere - all over the kitchen, crockery and baby’s bottles and toys. The air conditioning in the mezzanine wasn’t able to keep the room cool, so it reached 35° in the daytime and meant we were unable to leave the baby in there to nap. This left us having to drive him around the car with the AC on every day for his naps. Despite confirming multiple times in advance, the property didn’t have a cot when we arrived so we had no where to put the baby. Someone went out and bought one for us, but said the Thai cots are ‘unsafe’ and indeed our son did get his arms stuck through the bars of this metal swing cot, so we had to improvise and wrap it in blankets we bought. They didn’t provide any bedding for the cot. We also chose this property as it had a TV (for the evenings when the baby was asleep) - but the weak wifi didn’t reach it and it didn’t work. So we ended up having to reconfigure the room and move the furniture around so it could pick up the signal elsewhere. Ultimately, the staff were incredibly slow to respond to our requests for help, and after 8 days here and no solution to the AC and uncleanliness, we had no choice but to cut our stay here short and find last minute alternative accommodation - leaving us substantially out of pocket. Some of these issues would have been excusable if they reflected a budget price, but for what we paid we expected much, much better. I do not recommend staying here.
