We stayed at Saladan Beach Resort twice, once in November 2023 and again in March 2024. The little resort is run by a family and is a cheap and cheerful place to stay. The resort is located just outside of Salatan Town, so convenient for walking into town, the harbor, Lanta Mart, etc. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk. It is off the main street, so it's fairly quiet and doesn't have any other resorts around (which we love). There is a beach, although when the tide is out, it is way out, as the beach is very shallow. The breakfast is very basic, but included; if you prefer something a little more substantial, just ask and they can provide a paid-for breakfast. The rooms are fairly basic, but the beds are comfortable (not the standard extra-firm one can expect in Thailand), there is A/C and a large fridge. The patios are nice to sit and read and dry your laundry. Yes, the property is a little dated and could use with some refurbishments, as many places can nowadays, but the price is very reasonable, the location is fairly convenient for being close to town, yet quiet, and the hosts are very pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again as it's perfect for us; we'd recommend this accommodation if you prefer a basic, no fuss and no frills place. We have stayed in both a front-row room (number 4) and a middle row room (number 8). Both were great - number 8 has a nice shady tree for blocking out the midday sun from your patio. Oh and the family of cats is cute too!
