Kirkgate House

Had a lovely stay. Great guest house I would visit again. Owner very welcoming and helpful to point me in the right direction to tourist attractions and shops. Room very clean and quiet. They think of everything; toiletries, in the room such as tea/coffee/biscuit, little fridge outside the room with milk and bottled water, and own private entrance. Amazing breakfast and coffee. They were happy to let me leave my luggage before check in and same offered at check out time so I could explore without the hassle of taking my case. Highly recommend

We only stayed one night but what a lovely and well located B and B this was for our stay! The house was easy to find and just up the road from the train station. The owner, Robert, was kind and accommodating, he definitely wanted to make our stay the best it could be! We were able to walk the riverside, castle grounds, market place in one day and enjoy dinner and a coffee! The breakfast we had was fabulous! We will absolutely stay here again!

The B&B was perfect in every way.. Conveniently located near the train station and close to all the attractions. The superior double room was very modern and the hospitality tray had biscuits, chocolate and sweets that went down a treat. The cooked breakfast was amazing and catered for vegetarians. Karen and Rob are very approachable and on hand to provide suggestions. The room was services each day with fresh milk and water left in a fridge for all each room. We would definitely stay here again. We ate at the Marigold Cafe, Two Brothers Grill and Pizzeria, and Drake Fish & Chips. We are also had drinks at The Worlds End and Six Poor Folk. There were lots of places we didn’t manage to eat or drink so we will definitely have to visit again!

We have just returned home from a really lovely weekend away in Knaresborough. We stayed in this property for two nights and it was perfect in every way. The hosts were amazing, with great communication before arrival, and also with their hospitality and friendliness throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfasts were first class. This will definitely be the first place we look to stay at on any future returns to Knaresborough.

We booked this B&B at very short notice and must say we weren't disappointed. Located in the heart of Knaresborough with car parking very convenient also very local to the many sights, restaurants and bars. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly with a good sense of humour but also very attentive and proficient. The rooms were very well equipped, we're warm and very clean. A very comfortable bed with nice duvets and comfy pillows made for a good nights sleep. Tea and coffee making facilities were available using fresh milk. The complimentary snacks were a nice touch. No road noise. A very warm and clean shower room with good quality towels and complimentary toiletries. For breakfast. A pre order form is requested the previous day with very good choice indeed, breakfast cereals and fresh fruit are available on the morning but we opted for a full English and must say it was one of the best breakfasts I have had in any accommodation, cooked to perfection and locally sourced. Ample supplies of tea, coffee and toast if required. There aren't enough of these little gems being preserved and this is one we will definitely be returning to. A great place run by great people. Can thoroughly recommend.

A really lovely place to stay Karen and Rob, the owners, can’t do enough to make your stay a relaxing experience and are very thoughtful and helpful. The house is beautifully presented and spotless. Breakfast was fantastic. There was absolutely nothing negative to say. The stay was exceptional. Thank you both.
