Great location, easy to find and everything 'as advertised'. Decor in room was very nice, seemed updated! We had very little shower pressure, yet it was enough to actually 'shower'. I'm glad the window shade was heavy duty, it kept the heavy sun out to be as cool as possible. The air was a bit loud and literally hot/cold- we just kept it cooler than preferred to ensure it didn't get/stay hot. it was a GREAT touch they left it on cool for our arrival- thank you! Pool looked inviting, we just couldn't make time to use it. We booked it last minute to join a family vaca opportunity- they were in a bigger house up north, we got as close as we could- great option. We'll be back!!

or Starters, I was at the check in desk for over 30 minutes trying to check in. Believe it or not on a Thursday evening they only had one individual on duty for the entire hotel! I finally got checked in, and wouldn't you know it, the lock on the door wouldn't open because of dead battery, they apparently they dont change batteries on a maint rotation. So the lady at the front desk had to call the off duty maintenance man at home. So I had to wait for another half hour for him to come from home to replace the batteries and let me in. Then of course the swiming spool was closed for "maintenance ". Like so many Holiday inn express, they have a mistery maintenance issues on the pool during the week and suddenly Friday night the pool is fine. Then, to top it off, the air conditioner was so loud that I slept, or tried to sleep with it off. It was so incredibly loud, and I mean LOUD! It was like having a garbage truck in the room with you. The next morning I wanted to have a word with the manager (Mindy) and was told she didn't come in until 10 AM. I fiqure that give enough time for un happy guest to leave. Enough for IMG!!

Everything was awesome! I would stay here again. It was clean and the staff helpful. The breakfast was great! I really have nothing negative to say but am done writing this review. It is making me Write More which is annoying but the hotel was great!

We stayed at this property on the evening prior to getting in to our beach rental home a little farther up the strand. The location here is probably the hotel's best asset; right on Hwy 158 in the heart of Kitty Hawk. I thought the room was clean enough, although it was a bit disconcerting that our bedroom carpet was damp. I suspect it was due to leaking A/C condensation, but I'm not certain of that. Only other positive I can think of was the breakfast buffet, which was probably above average from other comparable properties.

I live in Kentucky and had a serious reservation issue and called the reservation desk, who said I’d need to speak directly with the hotel. When I called HIX-Kitty Hawk this morning and spoke to the manager, I was expecting the same thing. But she was 100% sympathetic and took care of me immediately - right over the phone and explained the next steps. I would definitely stay at this hotel in the future just because of the customer service I received today.
