Star Hotel

Excellent accommodation and truly very helpful staff. Easy to find and some interesting history of the place made the trip all the more interesting. Would highly recommend this as an excellent place to visit. The beer was great and the food was superb.

Last minute booking as we were touring on our motorbikes. Found this little quiet pub in the village and it was a great little stop over. Parked the bikes right outside the bedroom window. Bed and Breakfast was value for money. Staff were very friendly too. Definitely book this place again if we're in the area.

Lovely hotel and pub with separate bedroom area, nice staff and friendly, lovely and clean and had all you needed, breakfast was excellent. Great price and near to towns and attractions,would stay for longer next time and Will be staying again!

Lovely, small b&b. They only have 3 bedrooms in an annexe next to the pub Very friendly owner, nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast. Never got to try the meals in the pub Near to Kirkcudbright. Handy for exploring Dumfries and Galloway

My room was comfortable and clean. While a little "tired" there are plans to redecorate. Shower was lovely and hot with a super jet. Shower gel is provided. The duvet was lovely and warm. The room key is in a safe box outside, the access number is sent beforehand. This is very handy if you arrive late. Parking is just over the road, but you can park at the door to unload. There is a restaurant in the pub, everyone was very friendly and the food was excellent. Breakfast is in a different room and cooked to order.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, each with a double bed, desk, a chair and a TV. Tea and coffee facilities were in the room along with some biscuits. The en-suite shower was a generous size. The hosts were friendly and helpful, providing safe storage for our bikes. The cooked breakfast was good and the restaurant had a good choice of food for the evening meal.
