Kirishima Hotels with Wi-Fi

Hotel Kyocera is probably one of the largest hotel in Kirishima. It has two buildings ( main and annex) and looks quite good architecturally. They are connected by a bridge on the 3 floor which has the walking escalator- and a display of the various places that have been listed as world heritage sites in Japan. Inside the main building, there is a glass church which is ideal for weddings. In the basement, there is a large onsen, and spa. It is certainly a good place for having a holiday. The overall condition of the rooms are good- and the rooms are of good size. My room faces the East and has a perfect view of sunrise! My sincerest gratitude to the professional service and helpfulness of the front desk staff in particular the Div. Manager, Mr. Atsuyoshi Kubota, who patiently search for available medical service during late hours for treating my wife's injury and also voluntarily arrange a staff to accompany us to the hospital. Ram Kumar, the accompanying staff, is instrumemental in our communication to the medical personnels and he is so kind to arrange late dinner for us at the hotel's discretion. They not only demonstrate the highest level of professionalism but also their genuine care of the well being of the customers. Once again, big big thanks to Mr. Kubota and his team of beautiful people. By the way, good breakfast and dinner, both in terms of the menu as well as service and venue.

The location is very close to the airport, about 15 minutes away. It is a unique and exquisite hot spring hotel. It has its own indoor and outdoor small baths, which is convenient for your family to soak together. In addition, the ingredients for dinner are rich and fresh, especially the authentic chicken, which is very delicious. , my little girl was very happy to have an unforgettable DIY BBQ experience

All the hotel staff were very polite and kind. The rooms were spacious, clean, well-equipped, and well-furnished, and the beds were comfortable. Coffee beans and grinders were provided, so I was able to enjoy freshly brewed coffee in the morning. I was also able to rent a private bath twice, and although it was cold when I got out of the open-air bath, I was captivated by the beautiful garden view, and the water temperature was just right, so I was able to warm up quickly. The only disappointment was the attitude of the staff at the shop. First, there were no baskets, so when I asked for one, they said ”Please wait a moment” in a slightly irritated tone. Thankfully, a customer next to me who had just finished purchasing couldn't bear to see me and gave me his own basket. Also, there was no sign of a self-checkout, so when I was waiting for a staff member to pay, he coldly told me, ”It's a self-checkout.” This was a bit disappointing.

Typical Japanese-style room, beautiful view outside the window. The camellia in the hotel is in full bloom. Akamatsuyu is great. I saw it twice during my stay at the hotel. It was a pleasant surprise. It was snowing, and it was wonderful to soak in the hot spring in the snow. The meal was also good. The dinners were different for two nights, which was considered for the guests. The hotel has its own hiking root, and you can see the waterfall when you walk over. The overall feeling is great.

Located near Takachiho Peak, this hot spring hotel has a forest of 100-year-old cedar trees on the premises, as well as a huge hot spring lagoon, allowing you to feel the natural surroundings. The staff's welcoming, check-in, and check-out procedures were professional and left a good impression. The room itself was clean, but it was a little worn down with age, and unfortunately did not feel luxurious. However, the room was facing southwest above the main entrance, and we had a beautiful view of Kagoshima Airport and the sunset, so it was a comfortable stay. We were also grateful for the free bottled mineral water in the room. Since we stayed for two nights, the second night's dinner was specially prepared for us with a different menu from the previous night, and we were seated by the window where we could get a good view of the 100-year-old cedar trees. The food was made with local ingredients and looked beautiful, so we were very satisfied. Breakfast on the first day was very crowded and difficult. There were long lines for every dish, and children were running around. First, we had to take a tray, but the front of the line to be guided to our seat was in the same place as the tray table, so I thought the flow was poor and needed to be improved. On the other hand, even though we had breakfast at the same time on the second day, it was not crowded and we were able to eat quietly, so I think your luck with breakfast is unpredictable depending on how busy the hotel is. The location in the middle of nature, the huge hot spring lagoon, and the service from the staff were all very satisfying, and I would like to visit again.

My expectation is to have a bathroom inside and a private Onsen in the afternoon and morning. But hotel policy provides only private Onsen in the afternoon. The hotel food is perfect and has a nice taste. A staff can speak English very well and is helpful.

I finally got to try out the hot spring hotel of the Hoshino Resorts Group. The room is huge and has a 180-degree view. It’s really touching🥹 A very special experience, taking the monorail to the hot spring hut is very interesting and feels like one with nature!

Before making a reservation, I hesitated because of the lack of information, but after checking in, I was sure that it was the best choice. I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. Advantage 1. Private hot spring I was happy because I could soak in the bathtub at any time. I stayed at a private hot spring ryokan in Yufuin, but that place had a structure where you couldn't see outside. You can see the river from the bathroom at Yuyuan. Plus, you can see Sakurajima! Advantage 2. Cleanliness Even if you walk barefoot, your soles are clean. There is no dust anywhere in the room. Even the outside of the window is clean. Advantage 3. Spacious room When I travel, I always choose a room that is at least 25 square meters. It's uncomfortable if it's small. The room I stayed in was 50 square meters. It was spacious for two people. Advantage 4. Meals I had seasonal dinners twice and breakfasts twice, and I ate at the restaurant on the second floor. It was very comfortable because it was a private room. The taste was also excellent. I was even more satisfied because the dishes were made with Kagoshima specialties. Advantage 5. Friendly staff I felt warm staying at a hotel with friendly staff. They were people I want to meet again! The only downside. I took the bus. It was a small bus, not a bus that puts your luggage in the luggage compartment, so I was confused. Of course, this is not a problem for those who take a taxi or rent a car. It is not a good location for those who want to be in a busy area. If you like to take a walk while enjoying the quiet and beautiful scenery, it would be an excellent choice. It was a happy time for me. I walked to Kagoshima Shrine. I gave carrots to a beautiful horse and prayed. Yuyu-an is the perfect place for healing^^

The stay was average. Ample car park space. If there isn't, just ask front desk and they will direct you to park at adjacent site, which we did. Hotel did request we surrender car key to them, probably to move car in event of need. We chose not to. The breakfast spread was great, a typical Japanese full breakfast. Was pleasantly surprised by the generous servings and beverages. Room has musky smell so we had to use personal air freshener to at least sterilise the air in room. Else, all average. Thank you.
