The Star Hotel belies its Victorian exterior and has been completely refurbished inside from top to bottom. Easy access to the bedrooms is via a quiet lift and wide corridors. Double glazed windows,thick curtains and a comfortable bed and pillows provide the requirements for a good nights sleep. The temperature of the room radiator is easly set,with a heated towel rail in the bathroom which has a large walk in shower. Decor throughout is modern with neutral colours with comfortable seating in the foyer, dining room and the Wolf bar. Food is freshly prepared using local produce. The friendly staff and the welcoming room facilities including fresh milk in the small fridge set you up for a relaxing stay.

Had a lovely meal at the Star Hotel. Food was lovely and staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel has been refurbished and is stylish and looks fantastic. We were shown some of the rooms which are stunning. There are 2 bars- one which joins onto the restaurant which is quieter and very nice to sit and relax and also a sports bar which is more of a traditional pub showing football. Will definitely be back and maybe for an overnight stay next time we are up here (considering we have a caravan only a few miles away this shows how impressed we were!)

Very nice hotel. I don't display pictures because you get them on site already. Room was in perfect state. Bed was very large and comfy, many equipments such as kettle with tea and coffee, large TV screen, radio, hair dryer and a fan (to be noticed that there is no air conditioning). We had a room on the back of the hotel, very quiet.

We came here for dinner during our recent stay in Kingussie and were very pleased to find that the hotel had a very pleasant bar and restaurant area that was not open last year when we were in the area. We were well looked after and the food was good. nothing fancy - just good! We would definitely return. Prices were average for this area and kind of establishment.

Reasonably priced. Clean and very comfortable, but not luxurious room. Excellent choice of free streaming channels and good WiFi. Attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Slightly let down by a limited dinner menu, with few healthy options – but we couldn’t find anything significantly better in the town.

A recently refurbished hotel with a large bedroom, a huge, comfy bed, an amazing shower, with great food (large helpings, but they provide doggy bags when needed), good local beers and very friendly, helpful staff - what more could you ask for from a hotel? A perfect base for this part of Speyside.

Renovated and recently opened, this hotel is a great addition to Kingussie. Rooms small but had everything we needed, and beautifully decorated. Staff all welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our dinner in the restaurants - great quality food.
