Sukau Rainforest Lodge

We went there to celebrate our honeymoon and the initiative taken by Sukau was amazing! They really made it very personalised and the staff were all very helpful, and amazing! Not forgetting their manager, Mr. Joseph! He made sure everything went well and the ambiance of the place was very relaxing and very nature friendly. Would go here again and recommend people to see it for yourself!

We did book in Sukau Rainforest Lodge to see the big 5 and what a treat!!! We were able to see them all and plus others. Our guides were great and worked really hard sharing information with their peers to show us every species of animal that were available along the river. we had a visit from two Orang Outan at the back of the lodge.... The Lodge staff were very friendly and diligent, and the meals (buffet) were more than adequate. Our accommodation (Deluxe room) was nice and cool. A really nice place to stay but more importantly a place to see the Wilde life, thank you.

Excellent staff and facilities, great excursions with informed and alert guides to see Orangutans , Proboscis Monkeys, Hornbills, Kingfishers, crocodiles, and if you're lucky elephant (we were not). Also close to Gomantong caves for bats, birds nest soup collecting, and carnivorous Hornbills. We also had an amazing encounter with a 20 year old male Orangutan at the cave. Nice pool if you have the time between excursions. Orangutans above and on the boardwalk at the Lodge. They did have a problem with the water supply to our villa rooms becoming contaminated with runoff and failing filters (twice); we had to move rooms 🤮

Our experience at Sukau Rainforest Lodge was nothing short of amazing. The lodge is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and designed to offer comfort while staying true to its rainforest setting. The staff were super friendly and made us feel at home from the start. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, turning every river cruise and jungle walk into a fascinating experience. A special mention goes to Borneo Eco Tours, who organized everything flawlessly—from transfers to activities—making the whole trip smooth and stress-free. This is more than just a stay—it’s a truly immersive and inspiring nature experience. Highly recommended!

We stayed in a villa which was super comfortable and spacious. They had lots of really well planned actives where we saw heaps on animals and birds (including the big five) Jad our guide always so knowledgeable,attentive,organised and kind. He was awesome

The entire experience at the Sukau Rainforest Lodge was spectacular. The villas were very welcoming, clean and beautifully designed. The beds were very comfortable. The food and drink was excellent. The service was wonderful on many levels and in so many ways, from the rover cruises, to the food and drink service, the shop and the Batik paining for our children. We would love to go back.
