Visited the pub/restaurant 10/11/23. From first entering with our small dog to leaving, the service and attention couldn’t have been better/more welcoming. The food was delicious and we felt so welcome. Will definitely be calling again on our next trip in March. Thank you so much x

Been coming to the Inn for many years. Were there at weekend. Firstly we’re all seated when a rude woman asked if we didn’t have a reservation we had to move. Ordered food and drinks from another table had to ask 3 times for part of our order. Young girl very apologetic but older woman totally ignored us and actually seemed to be drawing us dirty looks. Looked like she took instant dislike to us. Meanwhile table we were at still empty. So very disappointed really loved this wee pub. Food was excellent same couldn’t be said for the Guinness staff need training on customer service. Such a shame.

In September I returned to Killin for a week-long break, having had a fine holiday here in summer 2021. One of my highlights in 2021 was discovering the Falls of Dochart Inn where I ended up eating most evenings. I recall the staff being really friendly, good food and a range of real ales on tap. So on my trip this year I popped in on my first night intending to have a meal and a drink. Bizarrely after just 5 mins I found myself barred from the inn by the most rude and obnoxious woman I have ever met. Turns out she was the proprietor and I now understand that she is routinely rude and offensive to many of her customers, judging by the reviews on this website. In a nutshell I asked her for another ale because the one she had given me tasted like vinegar. She denied it was off and refused to give me a replacement unless I paid for it again. When I questioned this she rudely told me I was barred and if I didn't leave she would call the police. I left feeling shaken and sad because it used to be such a great hostelry.

Service ok but food underwhelming and compared to everywhere else we’ve eaten in killin, I feel this pub might be relying on its location and not trying very hard. I had haggis bon Bon’s which were lovely, but the potatoes that went with it were half baked and cold and the turnip hardly existed. So all edible just not special.

I panicked after booking this for my partner’s birthday on our way to Loch Ness, after reading the reviews some people left. The place is amazing, staff are helpful and friendly, and the setting is gorgeous! We will definitely go back. Don’t listen to any of the negative reviews, because this place is great!

We had a lovely evening at Falls of Dochart Inn, the food was delicious...service to start was a little slow..but things improved when we got our waiter Albin..who was wonderful He was attentive, friendly and welcoming and took a keen interest in our holiday..a real credit to the hotel and restaurant. We will be back

This is my favourite spot in Scotland and the Falls of Dochart Hotel is a fantastic place to stay, eat and drink! Great service and wonderful food, Sharon really did make our stay! So laid back and welcoming! I’ve been before and I’ll definitely be back. One bit of advice… book early as it’s popular! Loved our river view room, sitting by the window, having a drink and watching the falls, people and world go by!

Lovely location beside bridge, plenty of space in car park. We stayed in the family twin room, room was small for 4 but comfortable. A few snags in room & bathroom to be dealt with (husband had to fix bunk bed). New carpet needed on stairs & hallway. Had dinner in bar, lovely decor and atmosphere and staff friendly. Food was tasty but crumble dessert dangerously hot. Breakfast was nice especially the porridge & salmon/eggs. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Also, we passed a lovely village called Kenmore 25mins north of here on the shores of Loch Tay, looked very nice.

We stayed in room 1. Free parking, busy but always a space available for us. View of the store rooms and kitchen with an air conditioning unit below the window. The room was hot so we needed to keep the window open. The room was small with limited storage and the ceiling of the bathroom sloped so impossible to stand up to shower. No shower curtain either so only option was a bath - I'm not a fan of a bath and prefer to shower. The fittings, finish and furnishings were of a very high quality as were the toiletries. The bar had a very good range of beers, wines and spirits and the food is frankly excellent and absolutely worth the short comings of the room. Service was odd ... everyone friendly and lovely but on day 1 we waited an hour for our starter and on day 2 I had to go to the bar to ask to order after we'd been sat down for 20 minutes. Free deserts were given as an apology, which was very good customer service I felt. Genuinely really enjoyed our stay ... the good outweighs the negatives by far.
