Blackstairs Shepherds Huts

It’s an amazing property with a lovely host! The breakfast is wonderful. Boris is a great town nearby with the perfect pub; Joyce’s.

Lovely place to escape to I really enjoyed my stay in the Blackstairs Shepard hut. The facilities in the main building were excellent and the hut was cosy and comfy with everything you'd need for a good night's sleep. Mary was full of helpful tips and suggestions for things to do in the area. The property was beautiful and the area was quiet and relaxing. Such an exclusive place to stay too as only 4 huts on the site. The location is great for exploring the local area and a couple of counties!

A True Gem Evan and I had the most incredible time here! Such a truly beautiful property with the most welcoming and warm hosts. This is a true top spot for any outdoor/nature enthusiast; the grounds and gardens are spectacular, the huts and barn are lovely, and they truly do have sustainability, eco-friendliness, and environmental consciousness at the heart of the experience. The location is exceptionally well situated - it feels remote and cozy yet is near a wealth of little gems to explore. Between the river-way, the towns, the mountain trails, and the property itself, there is so much to do and see (and something for everyone). We would come back in a heartbeat. Incredible experience with a fabulous host! All we could hear were the sounds of sheep and cows. Facilities were incredibly clean. Breakfast was phenomenal. Our only complaint was that the hut was damp in the morning. Still a fantastic stay that we thoroughly enjoyed.

This place is an absolute gem - so tranquil and with a wonderful and interesting host, Mary. The shepherd’s huts are lovely and clean; beds were super comfortable.
