Ulasan Launard House

The B & B is situated in a residential area, some 20 to 30 minutes from the city centre. However, it is very easy to walk to the centre. The room was reasonable sized, however furniture is quite outdate. The room was clear and toiletries were change when asked. There was also tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The B & B also offered complimentary breakfast which included a hot plate, toast, juice and tea/coffee. The host was very help both during and after our stay (by prompt answering emails). The only negative was that it was rather expensive.

My friend and I had a nice stay, we did feel the room was a little bit cold, we reported this and we were given a blow heater so that we could use it as and when needed. This was a very satisfactory solution

Both the rooms and dining room were lovely and beautifully decorated. The host, David, was very welcoming and he also served a great breakfast.

The room was very disappointing,it was very small and the bed had two end corners that was difficult not to knock yourself on.The room is very dated and the ensuite was dated.The shower had a grubby curtain on it.The breakfast was okay my husband had a fried breakfast,there were no cereals or muesli,just a toaster to help yourselves to toast,Coffee pot left in the dining area to help yourself and orange juice.The whole experience is way over priced for what is on offer I can honestly say I have never stayed in worse accommodation.I would not recommend.

The property is very tired problems with hot water availability and heat in the rooms. Compared to many other b&b in Ireland the breakfast were very basic with no fruit , yogurt or cereals. Numerous notes of what you should not do were posted and did not create a welcoming atmosphere. Pictures are deceiving as is the “join us for a drink in our lounge”. Good location basic accommodation.

The room was very smal,the listed ensuite bed seemed very small,very old and had large wooden corners on the two bottom ends which being a small room you had difficulty not hurting yourselves on.The ensuite was extremely old and needs a complete new suite.Thought the price of one nights stay is far too expensive for what is on offer.Would not return.

Great location and wonderful host. Choice of any breakfast you want. Host went way out of way to help me with mechanical problem with my rental car. Highly recommend the B&B.

Great location but property is old and worn. Surprised shower head kept falling out of shower arm while jerryrigged with zip ties. Not a positive experience. Rates out of range for lack of updates.

A very nice stay with the host David. Location is 15 minute walk to town. Nice area and furnishings. A fantastic Full Irish Breakfast too boot.

David is a wonderful host. He is very friendly and had lots of helpful information about Kilkenny. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying at Launard House. I would offer a few heads up. The house is in need of some touch-up. The water heater is limited, so showers need to be short. We had problems getting the toilet to flush. They do have washcloths, which was very unusual, and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. Plus, there was a top sheet on the bed, which was also unusual and very much appreciated.

Very sweet bed & breakfast in Kilkenny. We had a lovely stay here and would return.

Like a home away from home l. David had good suggestions for what to do in the area and he has a very warm welcome when you arrive.
