The Four Boutique Hotel

The rooms were dirty with spider webs everywhere, the second room that they were gonna give was the same too. Later they upgraded us to a suite which was clean but my point is what if the suite wasn’t available? is this how guests ahould be treated? the dinner was ok but breakfast was terrible !

Staff were very nice and pleasant. Room was good but bathroom was very small and not functionnal, there were leakage from toilet and shower was not convenient at all. Breakfast was served in very large portion (wastage) but without local touch. At night we better crossed the bridge (5 minutes walk) to dine in town.

We are glad that we stayed in this hotel. Everything was great. The hotel was impeccably clean. Our room was clean and we had everything we needed in the room. The buffet table in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner had a larger selection of food. We are vegetarians, which the kitchen staff took great care of and provided us with the delicious food. The staff were the best part of the hotel service - they definitely deserve 5 stars for their work. All the hotel employees were always smiling. We felt that there was not only a professional host-client relationship - we were treated with the highest level of respect and benevolence. Thank you for everything!

I say almost all hotels in Bhutan have amazing staff service, Four Boutique Hotel is the same. Please note that there is no elevator here, but they have amazing staff (even female staff) who can carry your heavy luggage (mine was about 20kg) to the 3rd floor fast. Staff in the restaurant were also very kind to help me with my food choices (I needed egg or more meat at one point). Great view of the river. I am not so sure re: location as I'm always with my tour guides but I do know this is quite close to Punakha Dzong/Fortress. I, unfortunately, was lodged in a twin room - though I'm by myself - but room is comfy with heater (I was there winter so this one was really helpful).

It has an amazing river view and it's near to the Punakha town. Going to the river bed and having snacks at the cafe it's just a 5-minute walk. Overall the hotel has decent rooms with heaters and other amenities and the hotel staff is also nice. They serve a good multi-cuisine breakfast but the time taken for the ala-carte and room service is not that great. They should also improve the WiFi connection because the moment the number of guests increases the WiFi has connection issues. Overall a good hotel for a couple of days.
