White Dragon Hotel

the hotel was centrally located with good view of natural beauty. A comfortable stay near popular sightseeing spots like Punakha dzong & suspension bridge. Serene and peaceful. The rooms were very spacious. The staff were extremely friendly & courteous. Has a very good restaurant called Home Kitchen less than 100m away which serves sumptuous vegetarian food for reasonable prices. Has elevator, wifi and cable tv with Indian channels. Overall a very comfortable stay! The buffet breakfast served as a part of package was delicious

In the last of week of March 2024, I stayed in white dragon hotel with my family. We loved our stay and hospitality by the staff over there.. It was cozy and comfortable stay. Specially appreciate service given by Mr. Ugyen Dorji. My best wishes and love from Mr. Kalyan Kose from India.

All hotel staff from receptionist, housekeeper, to waitresses are lovely, friendly and super polite. They are very attentive and provide the best hospitality. We felt that they genuinely welcome us with open hearts. The air conditioning in the first room we got did work properly, but staff changed new room for us immediately. Dinner was yummy and cooked fresh. Wi-FI worked well. Hot and good pressure shower. Despite the size of the hotel is not so big but the room is spacious and clean. Thank you all staff for taking care of us.

The hotel is new. It's a 5-story building with a lift. The room is nice, clean and quiet. Good breakfast. They have a bar. Very nice, affable, and helpful staff. But the surrounding area is a construction site. And unlike the US, they erect a building first and build the road last. The street the hotel is located at is a mess of liquid mud from all directions. Our driver first tried to approach it head on with no success. Then we drove around to enter the street from the side alley and our van got stock in 6"-7" of slurry between a dump truck and a bulldozer parked on both sides of the street. We took it as part of the adventure and walked a semblance of a sidewalk paved with concrete slabs to the hotel. But we had to cross the last 30 feet of the street thru the mud. The staff took care of our luggage though. I must confess that it was raining for 5 straight days prior to our arrival. The bottom line make sure the roads are paved before staying there. Another great deficiency is total lack of wi-fi on the upper floors. You can get a decent signal in the lobby but in the rooms just perish the thought.
