Bungalows Key Largo - All Inclusive

HORRIBLE!! One of my biggest regrets in life will forever be coming here for my HONEYMOON (a once in a lifetime moment that I can never get back)! I am utterly appalled by how condescending and rude the front desk & manager were after calling them out for not having ANY bungalows available for the prices they advertise on their online calendar (I already paid in full upon arrival)! I realized once I got there that I was charged several hundred dollars more than was advertised on the calendar and was met with NO explanation as to why, just them talking to me like a 5th grader. That’s not okay and extremely MISLEADING to your customers. Also, I paid $300 to check in a 12pm, just to be talked down to for the first 1.5 hours of my honeymoon! NO one should ever have to deal with this, especially when paying thousands of dollars just to be treated like garbage and on your HONEYMOON! It was so unbelievable that I broke down into tears because of how they were treating me. I want to shoutout an amazing employee, Omiel, who was the only one to show me any sort of kindness upon arrival….make him the manager! Food was so underwhelming, especially Sea Senor. Fishtales was good. Pools are SOO hot you can’t even get into them for longer than 5 minutes without feeling disgusting. You are suggested to tip an additional $10-$40 on EVERY check so be aware. I felt the property was very small as well, everything is right on top of each other, the restaurants, the pools, the bar….just steps away…felt like we were at a clubhouse. I tipped the nice staff very well because it wasn’t there fault management is TERRIBLE. The bungalows will never get my money again and I will sharing my experience with everyone I know!

This was our second visit. We crept through the traffic and through the wild fires along Hwy 1 and finally arrived. Beautiful, quiet, pristine property. Every employee we encountered was past five stars. Every single one (sometimes working extra hours due to other employees stranded with Hwy 1 being closed at times). They were phenomenal. The outdoor shower was wonderful, and we used it daily. The food was excellent at each restaurant. Others were commenting how much they liked the food. We went on the sunset cruise, and it did not disappoint. Enjoyed kayaking, the beach, and loved the quiet pool. My husband had a great massage. Saw the manatees drink water from the water hose (Sea Senor dock). I walked the property in early AM. You can easily walk three miles just enjoying all of the avenues.

We just got back from an excellent 5 days at Bungalows. My complaints— 1. We paid for early check in and late check out. We arrived at 1:15 and our room wasn’t ready until 3:30 (only 30 minutes before normal check in hours), which seemed like a waste of our $300 early check in charge. Also, it doesn’t make sense to me still because you have to be out of the bungalows at 11:00….so I’m not sure how it took over 4 hours to have our room ready. Even for late check out, you can stay on property until 3:00 (instead of 11:00), but you lose bungalow access at 11:00. 2. While I’m okay with the tipping, it was annoying to be handed a bill at the end of every meal and it sit and wait for a bill to come for poolside service when we were ready to leave. It felt less relaxing this way. 3. The beach (or lack thereof). The property is gorgeous but there is no real space for taking beach walks…and no where to walk alongside the water, as the property is rocky at the water’s edge. My loves— 1. Bungalows are SO CUTE! Plenty of space, loved the luxurious set up and couldn’t love the private outdoor space more. Really enjoyed having my morning coffee in peace and quiet. 2. Food. Such big servings and delicious flavors!! We never went hungry. Sea Senor and B&B were our favorites. Shout out to: Natalia, Ben, Nevada and Marcella—all excellent staff at the restaurants!! 3. Drinks. Plentiful and STRONG! Loved trying lots of new things and the pool staff kept the drinks flowing each day! 4. Music. Loved the live music each day. Made for a wonderful poolside vibe. 5. Water activities. Lots of activities free of charge!! The water was gorgeous and clear and the pools were immaculate. Our best vacation ever? No. Would I go back in a heartbeat? Yes. We did really enjoy our time here!!

This is a very nice all inclusive resort in Key Largo. Easy 60-70 minute drive from Miami International or TMB Miami private airport. Easy check in and our beach front bungalow is very nice and well appointed. Great bedding, towels and comfortable. The staff has been great and very friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival the staff that greeted us read the "welcome speech" so fast that we were only able to catch a few words before we were handed our welcome drinks and whisked off in the golf cart on our tour of the grounds. The property is breathtaking. It is as if you are transported to another world once you are on the other side of the gates. The bungalows are adorable and the bikes are a special touch. Everything is within walking distance yet you feel that you have total privacy. The number of schedules, reservations, and handouts give it a bit of a summer camp feel. The only place to get food or even a snack without a reservation is the bar. Guests are not allowed to "carry out" food back to the room unless you order room service that includes a $20.00 delivery charge. a 22% service charge, a 7.5% sales tax, the cost of the food (not included in the all-inclusive price of the resort), and the tip. The spa is the epitope of tranquility however, you only get the privilege of enjoying the Eucalyptus Steam Room and the Himalayan Salt Treatment Room if you purchase a spa treatment and only on the day of the treatment. The private tub in the bungalow was nice but after the first day it was never touched by maid service so it was filled with leaves and bird feces so we were not able to use it. Overall, it was a very quiet resort with very little to do. The food was very good. The service at the restaurants was good/excellent. The drinks were nice but the resort is WAY overpriced for an all-inclusive with such limited restaurants and amenities!

First time at an all inclusive and we loved it. The place is impeccably clean, with beautiful gardens, quiet while we were there, the staff was amazing (special shout out to Irene & Benz), food was delicious although so much and I feel they should give smaller portions as you can always ask for more, the casitas with the outdoor tub & rain shower were quiet, beautifully done and so comfortable, housekeeping was phenomenal, and we loved all the music. AC worked like a charm!! Bogie and Bacall's was a true treat. There was always staff asking if they could do anything for you or get anything. There is no real beach put there is plenty of room to lay around the 2 pools and out on a semi beach facing the ocean. There are several kayaks, a few paddle board & an ocean bike. Most excursions are an optional cost & we felt they could have included more. Exercise room was tired and could definitely use an upgrade. Some of the equipment did not work. None of us liked the additional tipping. Was very annoying to always get a "check". We had a garden bungalow & we all felt there was no reason to get an ocean view one. All in all we loved it and plan to return next year.
