Coral Reef at Key Biscayne

Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by confusion. There was no clear signage indicating that we had arrived at our destination—quite unsettling when you expect the welcoming banner of a reputable establishment. We were left second-guessing whether we'd made the correct entrance. We barely stifled our disbelief as we reluctantly ventured into the lobby. There, professionalism and cleanliness seemed to lack any sort of priority. The aroma that greeted us was a mix of stale air and an undefinable, offensive odor. The feeling of neglect was inescapable, and things only spiraled downward from there. The elevator's interior was appalling, bearing marks of long-neglected maintenance. A sense of disgust crept over us, and trepidation grew at what awaited us in our supposedly curated room. Nothing could have prepared us for the sight that met our eyes as we opened our room door. Instead of a spruced-up and welcoming space as advertised, we were slammed with a stench that could only be described as a fusion of decay and neglect. The room was a far cry from the beautiful pictures we'd seen on *******. From the filthy carpets to the dingy bedding, it seemed as though no effort had been made to clean or upkeep the room for decades. We noted broken tiles, stains, and a general lack of hygiene that was nothing short of shocking. Nothing like the pictures! The worst experience I ever had! To those considering a stay here, I implore you—look elsewhere.

Pool is nice but not heated. Gets you back in your body. Very nice staff. Rooms are a bit dated and could use an update but very good value for money!

Property had no record of the reservation. It took me 4 hours and 3 phone calls to ******* to get it sorted out. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Nice and spacious. Air conditioning not too effective on upper level. Very strong smell in the unit despite appearing clean. Awesome 5 minute walk to beach.

Poorly maintained, dirty looking, uncomfortable, unattractive, inadequately equipped with essentials (for example, no soap in bathroom). Minimal water pressure in bathroom sink. Took literally 20 minutes for shower water to get warm. TV remote didn’t work. Kitchen minimally equipped. Don’t stay here if you can avoid it; there is a reason that the rates are low here.

Great place, so close to beach and dining. Wish there was hand soap and better water pressure in bathroom.

The private beach area was my favorite part of the property. The staff was really nice and Roberto was a very good host.

All table surfaces in apartment glass. Movement of any dishes produces noise. Apartment tiled floors add to noise and echoes. Very small tvs. Bath tub unsafe, no assist bars tub interior surface smooth. No bath mats available. We worried about slipping and falling. Deck faces loading dock for Ritz. Trucks start unloading about 7 every morning. Truck back-up alert even comes through closed sliding doors. Kitchen very sparsely equipped. Access to beach envolves about 1/4 mi.walk. We did not realize English is the second language.in Key Biscayne. Had trouble at time talking to a primarily Spanish speaking population. Service people mostly. The weather was warm and Sunny. A relief from Michigan weather at this time.

Our loft apartment was accurate according to the description. Very clean. Quiet. No issues with property. Minimal kitchen or apartment amenities. The staff was very accommodating and gave good local recommendations. I would certainly go back, it's a good value.
