I had initially paid for the King Suite, at a little over $300. I drove 2 hours and was tired, as it was right around 6:00 pm when I got there, I had a room no bigger than closet. When I called the front desk the manager began arguing with me immediately. When I asked for a refund, she informed me it wasn't possible, that the app i used needed to do it. That was wrong.
When I got hold of the booking agency, they had told me the hotel needed to approve the refund. I had to argue with hotel management, before the call it was 20 minutes. With the booking agency on the phone she quickly changed her mind.
Beside getting a room 10xs smaller than I had anticipated, the room smelt like urine and the bed looked like they just pulled the sheets back to appear as if it was recently made with clean sheets.
This was probably one of the worse experiences with a hotel I've ever had. I wouldn't recommend Clover Island Inn to anyone; although I hear the food is great.
