Amazing place to stay away from the airport! Free shuttle pickup. Very accommodating and also let a friend stay for a few hours as she waited for a flight, plus was more than accommodating of her dietary needs and the chef made sure she had gf/dairy free/vegan options. They have a buffet style dinner each night at 7pm which is excellent and is 250 Rand. Good selection of a main, sides, and salads. Breakfast is included and has a nice selection of made to order eggs, fresh fruit, and all the other usual breakfast foods. Rooms are large and well appointed. I loved the unique art around the property and the staff are wonderful. There’s a small pool, an honour bar, small gym area, pool table, and a lovely dining area. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning an overnight stay in Joburg.

This place was perfect for an overnight before our early-morning flight home-immaculate room, great buffet dinner (for a small fee) and delish breakfast. Prompt pickup and return to the airport, cute gift shop, delightful staff. We would highly recommend staying here!

The most refreshing pause after a long flight. My room was clean, very comfortable and had everything I needed. Breakfast is tasty and eaten with a view of the lush gardens and pool. The complimentary shuttle service is so convenient. Next time I will also make time for a recovery massage at the on site spa.

Stayed for 2 nights before flying home to Germany. Next to airport. To town centre with Uber approx. 30 minutes. Neighborhood not nice, but we did not want to get out there anyway. Very tasty buffet in mornings and evenings at a reasonable price (as well as drinks). Very nice garden and pool, very friendly staff and clean rooms! And the massage was one of the best I ever had. If we ever come back to Joburg we would stay there again.

A wonderful authentic hotel. The staff is very attentive. Breakfast and dinner are very tasty. The lobby conveys the atmosphere of Africa.

My husband and I stayed here one night before our hunting trip. The hospitality was warm and welcoming. They had food and drink ready for us at 8pm at night. Their dining area was lovely. The rooms were clean and roomy. The bed was super comfortable. We slept like the dead which was good after 19 hours of travel. It was quiet even though we were in the city. It did not feel like the city. It felt like an escape from the city. Their breakfast was delicious and had a great variety of different types of food. If we come back, we will definitely stay at Sunrock!

Very close to O. R. Tambo International Airport, and has free shuttle for pick up .
The staffs there are very friendly and helpful.
Room is clean,
Very satisfied with their Breakfast ( included )and dinner ( around US$17/pp ).
Will definitely stay at Sunrock again next time when we in Johannesburg

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunrock Guesthouse. The rooms are excellent, the service exceptional and the food was great. Beautifully landscaped gardens full of artwork. Even the curio shop had lovely things reasonably priced. We will definitely book here again.

All was good as usual except the tv wouldnt work even with staff intervention . Whole stay with zero tv facilities - unheard off.
