Best Kawarau Falls Hotels

There are two rooms in one living room, one room with a double bed, and one room with twin beds. The kitchen basically has a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and the facilities are complete! The apartment is in the back row of the Hilton. Although it is not directly on the lake, you can still see the lake view. The sunset shines on the mountain opposite. Lake Wakatipu is so beautiful. Follow the main road and you will find Deer Park Heights, a popular spot on Xiaohongshu.com. It is highly recommended. There are beautiful scenery and small animals. You can go and play for a day with some food. The trouble is that there are only 3 parking spaces in the entire apartment. After staying for two days, there was no parking space. I had to drive back to the main road to park, which is a bit of a test of my driving skills.

Doubletree was a last minute decision upon arriving Queenstown from Mt Cook. Although it is pricey, no regrets getting a room here for 2 nights. It came with a fully furnished kitchenette where you could do some cooking but didn't utilize this since we ate out. One peeve I don't understand is the need to pay for parking since onsite (NZD$ 16 per nite). There's ample parking and for guests that drive in, this should be complimentary for stay duration. Location is outside of Queenstown but water taxi available from hotel dock. Recommend for the environment and fantastic room but giving 3 stars for facilities due to need to pay for parking. Location by the lake allows peace and quiet and also wildlife encounters. Front desk staff during checkin time was very attentive and helpful as well.

We had a wonderful two night stay at Hilton Queenstown Resort and Spa. The reception staff were friendly and helpful on arrival and the location and amenities were excellent. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings during our stay. Our only concern was we did not have longer to fully enjoy the hotel.

The place is really nice and the staff are so kind to help us manage our way around the town. The view are so good as well. we can see rabbits and other animals at the night roaming around.

The environment is relatively quiet. Some places are still under construction. I live on the other side so it is not noisy. Geography: It is very close to the airport, but far from the center of Queenstown, so it is suitable for self-driving travelers or temporary accommodation at the airport. Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park is a top notch hotel, just 5 minutes drive from the airport. If you want a quick rest from a long journey this one should quickly come to your rescue from travelling fatigue. Everything about the hotel is good including friendly staff. The only drawback is its location which is a bit far from town or main activities. If you don’t have a car then surely you should be prepared to Ubar and Tax every time you want to go out.

Renovated and conveniently located hotel. The service was good and the room was comfortable. Unfortunately, in our room, the kitchen exhaust hood was not working and there were no windows that could be open, the only large window was fixed and without an opening option, so only for light. Every time we would cook, the whole room would fill up with smoke and it was just not nice.

The room was clean and seems to be newly decorated. The location was great (about 10 min drive to the airport and walking distance to the biggest shopping center in Queenstown )
