Magda Hotel Club

Had a great short break at Magda Hotel Club. We stayed in the premium area in a room with whirlpool. We arrived late at night and were given a warm welcome from Dimitri and personally escorted to our room and given lots of information. Over all we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel. Room The room was modern and exceptionally clean. We did encounter a couple of problems with the whirlpool but the reception team were very responsive in aiming to resolve this for us. The dedicated sun loungers for this area were a great bonus as it meant there wasn’t this usual rush to grab a bed first thing - we did notice a few people not staying in the premium rooms using the beds but as off peak season this wasn’t a problem however this would be quite annoying peak season if not monitored. Pool The pool areas were all very well maintained and very clean - pools were very cold given time of year but we did manage a couple of swims! Cleaners and maintenance team were out every morning making sure pools ready for use. Roof top pool was a great little sun trap. Bar was closed at this space but think due to us visiting at low season. Sun loungers were very comfortable. Food & Drink Drinks were average for an all inclusive. The cocktails were not your ‘standard’ choices and needed an acquired taste! - although measures were good and we still managed to sample most :) ! Beer and wine on tap were great as was the selection of on tap juices and other soft drinks. LOVED the fresh orange juicer at breakfast! Coffee from machine was disappointing and not the best quality. Food I would not rate as 4* but would still rate as good. There was a fair choice at breakfast with a hot selection along with fruit, yogurt and continental options. Lunch and dinner also offered a good choice of hot food - salad and dessert selections were pretty repetitive but could always find something suitable. Labelling wasn’t great if you are vegetarian or have allergies, but staff were available to talk to. The snacks available throughout the day were also good - freshly made pizza, cakes, sandwiches. Popcorn or nuts to have alongside eve drinks was nice touch. Entertainment This was the real let down for us, very little eve entertainment and what was laid on was mainly spoken in French so we struggled to take part. The Greek night was great with authentic music and dancing - getting all involved :) Didn’t see much of the daytime entertainment as this took place away from the area of the hotel we were staying in so didn’t get to hear about it, although there was a board with a timetable of events that could be referred to. Facilities Good facilities including indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Wellness spa area looked good but we didn’t use this has we simply didn’t have the time! Pool table, table tennis, mini golf and tennis courts all great. Option to hire pool towels but there is small charge for this unlike other AIs we have stayed at who just take a deposit. Staff

The staff and general facilities are great. The food and drinks are also good for an all inclusive and there is a lot of variety. Unfortunately the rooms were not cleaned well. The surfaces and floors were not swept/dusted. The wardrobe was so bad you could smell the dust. We also had 2 cockroaches in the room over 11 days.

Spoilt honeymoon We can never relive this time Jet2 should have made sure this part of hotel was ready to open to guests but as rep told us they take the word of the hotel So worth considering never look at hotels that are newly renovated Jet 2 offered a £150.00 off next holiday not worth using as that is insulting Will upload health and safety video of digger driving inches past hotel room doors

Everything in hotel perfect ,except entertainment... due to high percentage of French guests the team did not cater for any other nationality ,total discrimination needs to be addressed ASAP. I hope this issue is dealt with. The hotel otherwise was amazing.

We travelled as a couple, with another couple. ROOM We booked one of the deluxe double rooms in the newer part of the hotel. The room was beautiful, on the ground floor and had a disability-friendly bathroom. Lots of space though we were saddened that our room ended up being right beside the road, meaning we were often kept awake or woken up. Our room didn't look out on to the pool which we were also disappointed by, however still didn't detract from our holiday as we didn't spent much time there. POOL We spent most time by the pool at the newer part of the hotel. There are 2 pools, 1 of which is beside the swim up rooms. There's also a rooftop pool. These areas are amazing, sunbeds are super comfy and we never had an issue getting one, however I don't think the hotel was at full capacity. The pool was in shade for most of the morning til the afternoon meaning it was pretty cold - not necessarily a bad thing for some in the heat. BAR STAFF The bar staff were amazing. Super friendly and talkative. Just really lovely service and they are a credit to the hotel! DRINKS AI drinks were pretty standard local drinks. Though sometimes the cocktails were made a little strong - the inconsistency could be shocking! But overall managed to find a couple I enjoyed. I feel it would be such an improvement to just have well known commonly made cocktails. FOOD Food was OK - breakfast very much the same but loveddddd the rotation of pancakes and waffles which were great. Waffles and pizza at the snack hatch were also great, just wish there was something served late at night. Pizzas were well made and delicious. Rotation of various meats, veg, pastas, salads - all fine but nothing spectacular ENTERTAINMENT This was a big let down for us. We love having some type of entertainment in the evening, but most days it was inside by the stage which was cramped with little seating. The outside area has a perfect section for entertainment, which was used for Greek night and it was amazing! So disappointed this wasn't used more. There was also a few quizzes and other entertainment here and there, however for the most part - everything was said in French so we couldn't understand! I've been to resorts before where entertainment is spoken in English, French and German to include everyone, however so often we were unable to take part at all or else were forced to listen to the team and other guests shout in French. Back to Greek night however - this was by far the best, and the Greek musicians/singer/dancers were absolutely amazing! LOCATION The hotel is under a flight path - if you're in any way a light sleeper this will most definitely be a problem. There were quite a few nights we slept terribly even with ear plugs, and as I said before our room was by the road. My fiancé also got woken up by a rooster one morning! In terms of things to do - there are watersports nearby, a beach, a few lovely coastal tavernas and beach snack bars. A short walk away is the main street in

Again, another year at the Magda Hotel and our stay is fantastic. The hotel has been updated, and as a guest who has a mobility problem, I use walking sticks. There is disabled access to the bathrooms main reception via a lift and excellent all access bathroom facilities in the new extension also there are toilets all over the complex for the more able body guests toilets are spaced over the whole site.All the tiling has been updated to non slip in all areas within the complex. The main pool has a step in the ⁸area so I can access using my walking aids to get in and out of the pool with no problem ⁹ We can't fault anything, and it is a testament to the management and the staff that make this place a must stay. This is the reason we keep coming back. All the team needs to be congratulated for their efforts so we can enjoy our two weeks away each year and for any doubters here this is our 18th year of coming here that says something about the Magda Team that is so special to make your holiday experience a great place to be see you all again in 2025.
