My birthday celebration at Sensations Eco Chic Hotel was a magical experience from start to finish. Upon arrival to Sensations, we were greeted with a cold drink, a cloth to refresh our hands, our luggage prepared for the room, and we were informed at reception to remove our shoes because our stay would be entirely barefoot moving forward . This was a surprise that warmed my heart and set the tone for a truly unique retreat. The hotel’s use of lush green fencing and natural landscaping brought a sense of seclusion, calm, and harmony with nature. Surrounded by greenery and just steps from the beach, every corner feels private, peaceful, and beautifully connected to the environment. Majestic Buddha statue always standing by the greenery. Our villa was nothing short of a dream: impeccably clean and well-equipped. It featured a private swimming pool and an exclusive in-villa spa. A spacious deck provided the perfect spot to relax outdoors. The natural fencing of the villa made this became our personal sanctuary. We felt at home. Culinary experiences across the resort were equally unforgettable. Whether it was the sumptuous breakfasts, exquisite meals at the restaurants, or a morning cup of premium coffee in the comfort of our room, every aspect showcased impeccable service and quality. The crown jewel of our stay was the teppanyaki dinner. Chef Iman dazzled us with his extraordinary skills and humor, transforming dinner into an entertaining showcase that made my birthday completely memorable. The entire team joined in the celebration, creating a genuine sense of connection that lingered long after the meal. Every facet of Sensations Eco Chic Hotel—from its tranquil spa and breathtaking surroundings to its sincere, attentive service—ensured that our celebration was deeply unforgettable. Pradeep is excellent, he was arranged as the butler for us, he is very attentive to small details, available all the time, one message away and sorted out all issues. The people are the prize of this resort, very friendly, kind, pleasant and present. I wish I remembered all their names- Pews, Zabibu, Kevin and a name similar to ocean-ends with ...na, feel bad I can't recall her name, but she had the best smile. Spa was a disappointment, badly managed,poor communication with regards to appointments, wasted 45 minutes and had to cancel the appointment. The Tepenyaki dinner was amazing and so much fun with chef Iman, very entertaining yet humble as well. The food and location was amazing. It's all inclusive and has lots of options for food. The rooms are well maintained and clean. I don't know how the other Zanzibar resorts are to comment but compared to the resorts to the ones we have gone for the same price, the rating would be 7.5 and not a 9. It was good but not the best. Barefoot theme is nice. The photos of the place is better than in reality. Room for improvement- better coordination with the spa. Inclusion of gym if possible. Maintenance of rest of place requires improvement, seats near beaches and next to bar are stained. It needs to be maintained to keep up the standards and competition.

You can indulge in as many dishes as your heart desires, and every bite tells a story—rich, complex, and artfully presented. Our first night was spent at the teppanyaki experience, where a skillful chef entertained us with an engaging, high-energy performance while simultaneously serving the most divine food. It was a night filled with laughter, delicious wine, and incredible flavors—a memory we’ll never forget. **The villa itself** is spotless, tranquil, and simply stunning. For someone with a love for cleanliness and precision, it’s an OCD dream come true. Every detail is immaculately attended to—from the comforting scent of the in-house lotions and shower gels (which linger on your skin like a soft tropical breeze) to the meticulous nightly turn-down service. After dinner, we returned each night to find our mosquito nets beautifully draped open, our bed gently laid out, and the space prepared to invite us into peaceful rest. The small gestures made the biggest difference. Whether you’re lounging by the warm, serene pool or relaxing on one of the many beach loungers with the ocean just steps away, every corner of the resort whispers relaxation. One week barefoot felt sooo goood!!!! The hotel felt so zen!!! Very good acomodation. Staff genuinely friendly and the food very good. Definitely will be back in the near future. Drinks and food all inclusive. Very good value for money !!!!

Total relaxation from the second you arrive. All the staff were super helpful and went all out to help me celebrate my birthday. Food was absolutely delicious at every meal and the accommodation and grounds were delightful. They were there to greet us even though we arrived in the middle of the night and left us some snacks. Perfect for a relaxing week.
