Perfect location above the lively old town main food street with nicely decorated, spacious rooms and a balcony where it is easy to relax and people watch on the street below. Fast WiFi too, and a powerful aircon unit. Definitely recommended. We liked it so much we returned for a second, longer stay. (Note that being in the pedestrian-only old city you can’t drive directly to the hotel but it’s only 5 minutes walk from the nearest taxi drop-off and about 10 minutes walk from public parking.)

Traveling through the Karakoram Highway to Pakistan, the third time I came to Kashgar, I found this very nice homestay accommodation three days ago. It is located in the quiet and elegant alley outside the ancient city of Kashgar. Although it is an alley, it is not remote and convenient. It takes less than 20 minutes to visit the ancient city. The price is very high. The young Uighur couple in the owner of the homestay were very enthusiastic. They stayed for three days and two nights. During the day, they rode his eDonkey around the city and rode to the aerial photography drone outside the no-fly zone more than ten kilometers away. . . The bathroom is separated from dry and wet, however the toilet and shower are slightly a little small, I belong to the chubby person, go in and close the door, open the door from inside a little inconvenient, a little unfriendly.

We went to the end of off-season winter, the beginning of spring, so day and night temperature difference, very cold at night, central air conditioning is good to use, a smaller room heats up quickly, but the suite heats up relatively slowly, it takes a little time to heat up, can be turned on when you go out to play, come back warm. This hotel is not perfect but overall I had an amazing stay.
First, the woman on reception is very friendly and helpful. She let me check in early as I arrived from Urumqi at 8am. Thanks to her I was able to get a good sleep before I started exploring the old town. She even gave me yogurt and granola so I wouldn't have an empty stomach. Despite the language barrier, she was patient with me and was always willing to help.
The location could not get any better. It's inside the ancient town so you can easily walk to shops, restaurants and cafes. Cars are not allowed in the ancient city but that wasn't a problem -the hotel is roughly a 5 minute walk from one of the entrances to the old town so it's very convenient to walk there to take a taxi, find a bus stop etc.
The decor of the entire hotel is beautiful and fits in very well with the asthetic of the old town. I just wish the communal areas on the roof top was better maintained. It is starting to look a bit shabby.
Overall I was happy with my room but there are some things I wasn't pleased about. First, apart from the tables on both sides of the bed, the other cabinets in the room were for show -they don't actually open, meaning there is very little storage space. Also, I like having a window I'm my room so I can feel less claustrophobic. I paid extra for a courtyard view. That's because I wanted to see the courtyard. However, I opened the curtain, and I found out that the windows are opaque. I opened the windows as far as I could without banging the TV, and there's a barrier over the windows. I understand they have these measures for privacy but in my opinions, curtains are enough. That definitely dampened my experience. Lastly, the walls are extremely thin, meaning almost every night I was woken up by other people making noise in the courtyard.
Overall I am happy with my experience and I would book here again next time I visit Kashgar, but I would book a room with a city view instead for the reasons mentioned above.

A very suitable homestay for a solo trip to Kashgar.
Service: The housekeeper was very enthusiastic and started chatting before I arrived. She gave me a lot of tips and recommendations. She was also worried that I couldn't find the way and ran out to pick me up. She helped me drag my mobile turtle shell. She wanted to upgrade my room for free, but I declined because I thought the box was too heavy and didn't want to move it.
Location: I think the location is very convenient, right at an entrance to the ancient city. There is no need to be afraid of walking alone at night, hahahaha because the houses on the street will dance at night, and the streets outside are colorful at night.
Environment: Of course, there is nothing to say. I came here for this big pool pretending to be in xx country. It is very fresh and girls will like it very much. The room I booked is not big but very warm.
Hygiene: I stayed in Hilton in Urumqi before coming here. First of all, the hotel is in a very good location, located in the center of the West District of the old city. Downstairs is the famous punch-in shop. It is a 5-minute walk from the famous punch-in places such as Aitigar Mosque, Centennial Tea House, Rainbow Lane, Oil Painting Street.

EemdethuongI wanted some place inside the Old City that accepts foreigners. This one does accept foreigners, for all foreign travellers out there. The homestay I booked was closed unnoticed. I showed up at the place completely getting confused. But after some body languages later I finally found some help on the street to talk to the owner through phone. He came to pick me and took me to another homestay of his sister which is also in the Old City complex. The room was smaller than the one I booked but I agreed to stay anyway. Trip Customer Service contacted later to apologize for the inconvenience amd compensate me with Trip coins which I was fine with. The home owner (Han people) was warm and welcoming so I will leave the unlucky event off my mind. All convos between me and the owner are via translation app since no one speaks English and it is all going well. Helpful people.
The first photo was the Jingyi homestay which was closed for the season. The rest of the photos were the other homestay within the Old City complex that I was taken to, not far from Jingyi.

AANWhat can I say: awesome place, awesome room, awesome hosts. Alyx is speaks little English but WeChat translate and other translate apps, helps with the English-Chinese barrier.
Along with the extremely warm hospitality with his wife who made an effort to make me breakfast before my early 2 day tour at 8 am which is not part of the expenses, made my stay in Kashgar worth wild. With my little Chinese, we exchanged cultural experiences and it was like we were old time friends.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at Yinlianju for 3 days. It is located on the Oil Painting Street in the ancient city. The environment is artistic and the location is super convenient. At 4:30 in the afternoon, there was a performance nearby, and we watched it directly from the center.

I wrote this to provide information to Koreans traveling to Kashgar.
1) Cleanliness of the facility: Very clean, the bathroom is also very clean because the accommodation is cleaned regularly every day.
2) Whether or not to register the accommodation: The owner personally registers the accommodation. However, since we are foreigners,
it is better to tell the owner about today's schedule in advance using a translator (it seems that there is a way to write down the schedule when registering the accommodation)
3) The male owner speaks English very well, and the owner's wife always tries to help with a translator
4) Location: It is located in the middle of Kashgar's old city, so the location is great, and you can walk to the mosque in 5 minutes
(Even though it is in the middle of the old city, it is located in an alley, so there is no need to worry about noise at all. It is very quiet)
5) In addition, there is a hair dryer, Korean-style outlet, and washing machine. It is possible to travel very comfortably.
There are so many good points that I have too much to write about, but for Koreans, cleanliness is the most important, so for Koreans who care about cleanliness, this is the best choice. Next time I travel to Cass, I will definitely stay here.
