Previously, I had been very satisfied with the Hotel am Wasserturm in Karlsruhe. This time, however, the opposite was the case. When we checked into the double room and unpacked, we discovered that there was only one duvet and one set of towels. Furthermore, the wall next to the bed was very dirty – probably from a party in the room. I then called the hotel's phone number, but ended up on an endless hold with an artificial computer voice. The phone advised me to download a form and then send an email with my complaint. I wonder, though, when I would have received towels and a second duvet. I had no choice but to go to the reception. The friendly staff then gave us another room, which was fine. However, we found the temperature of 19.7 degrees Celsius too cold, especially in the bathroom, as there was no way to adjust the temperature. On Saturday, December 7th, we left the hotel at 8:30 a.m. and returned around 4 p.m. The room hadn't been made up yet. Housekeeping staff stood in the hallway and announced that someone would be there shortly. Nothing happened for the next 20 minutes. At least this time, after a short wait, I got through to reception, who said they would send someone immediately. I waited half an hour in vain, so I put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and lay down. When we finally left the building at 6:15 p.m., they said the room couldn't be made up because the staff had already left. One more small note about breakfast: At €16.90, you'd expect the scrambled eggs to be warm, not cold, and made with eggs, not powdered eggs. At least the beds were very good and comfortable!

Die Zimmergröße ist überschaubar und kein Kleiderschrank Das Frühstück am Sonntag Morgen ein Chaos. Meiner Meinung nach zu wenig Personal. Dieses war sehr bemüht konnte es aber nicht bewältigen. Eines nach dem anderen ging aus und es dauerte eine gefühlte Ewigkeit bis aufgefüllt wurde. Schade

Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und nett eingerichtet. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unsere Fahrräder konnten wir in der Tiefgarage in eine Ecke stellen und durften sie sogar durchs Hotel schieben und im Fahrstuhl transportieren. Im Zimmer fehlte eine vernünftige Ablagemöglichkeit fürs Gepäck. Wenn man den entsprechenden Ständer benutzte, konnte man nicht mehr durch den Gang gehen. Das Fenster kann leider nur gekippt werden. Die Klimaanlage konnte nicht richtig eingestellt werden.

Kleine, moderne Zimmer. Hotel ist relativ neu und das merkt man auch. Direkt am Hotel sechs kostenfreie Parkplätze - sofern frei. Ansonsten gegenüber vom Hotel ein großer Parkplatz gegen Gebühr und im Hotel eine Toefgarage. 15 Euro pro Tag aber große Parkplätze und angenehm befahrbar. Zimmer gehen entweder zu den Bahnschienen oder zur Straße raus. Zimmer zur Straße geht mit Lautstärke. Frühstück absolut in Ordnung aber nix krass besonderes. Bahnhof wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Hotel für Geschäftsreisen absolut machbar.
