Very nice stay here. We were greeted with hand towels and welcome drinks. The tented lodge was beautiful with a separate bathroom and a wall of windows and glass door to the deck. A king sized bed, electricity for charging, drying racks, safe, sitting area, an electric kettle with teas and coffee, soap/shampoo/conditioner, tissues, multiple bath towels, and drinking water. They added a blanket and hot water bottles to the bed with turndown; that was extra nice! The deck had a beautiful view! The common area had a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, ok wifi, a coffee/tea station, and a bar. The pool area was beautiful and there is a very new infinity pool in addition to the original one. They brought us towels and took drink orders. The food was delicious; both dinner and breakfast buffets. Drinks were very reasonably priced. A campfire was made for sundowner, the sunset view was excellent, and they gave us popcorn then. The staff was kind and attentive. Four stars instead of five because he shower did go cold on us and it was very loud in the morning from about 5am on because our tent was right next to the common area; I would recommend requesting a tent further away. Overall, we had a great experience!

A pleasant and helpful staff maintains the magical experience at this special lodge. The food is exceptionally delicious, the rooms are luxurious, quiet and equipped with everything you need.

A large groups of us spent two night here because we were visiting Ngorongoro next morning. The lodge was excellent and well maintained. The views of the surrounding areas were nice and had a rural feeling. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was top notch. The chef met with our group to make sure our dietary preferences were taken into account. The food was excellent and catered to multiple tastes. We had packed lunch for our trip to Ngorongoro- the chef gave us an option to customize each lunch box out of the various choices available. There were mosquito nets over each bed. However, I do not believe there were any mosquitoes as this area is at a height and cooler than Serengeti.

Wonderful Stay at Karatu Simba Lodge – Great Service & Veg Food We had a fantastic stay at Karatu Simba Lodge during our safari in Tanzania. The lodge is peaceful, beautifully located near Ngorongoro, and the rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable. As vegetarians, we were very happy with the delicious and varied veg meals provided. The food was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The staff made our experience truly special — special thanks to Aber-Yoexa (Manager), Simora Kisiroti (Bar Man), Daniel Damian (Waiter), and Paschal Pius (Waiter) for their warm hospitality and attentive service. A huge thank-you as well to Laxmi from Simba Portfolio, who curated the entire trip perfectly. Everything was well-planned and stress-free. Highly recommend Karatu Simba Lodge for anyone looking for comfort, great food, and genuine hospitality!
