The hotel is located in a truly beautiful setting, which initially raised our expectations. Unfortunately, the service from the staff left much to be desired. The staff came across as unprofessional, and important requests, such as setting up separate beds (which was clearly communicated in advance), were completely ignored. Additionally, the bar closes as early as 11:00 PM, with the last round already being served at 10:30 PM. This was not communicated and felt very unwelcoming. There is also no room service available after 10:00 PM, which is disappointing for a hotel of this standard. We tried to discuss our concerns with the management, but although they pretended to listen, nothing was done with our feedback. In short, the location is beautiful, but the lack of customer focus and service means we unfortunately will not be returning.

Hotel Monti on Igman's Olympic mountain near Sarajevo boasts a fantastic location and a thoughtfully designed atmosphere, which has drawn us back more than once. The hotel features a spa, sauna, salt room, massage, and swimming pool, and the rooms are comfortable—especially those with terraces. However, if you stay during peak summer season, you may encounter unpleasant smells in both the rooms and corridors, as many bus tourists bring food from the city and consume it in their rooms. It would be beneficial if the hotel designated a separate room for this purpose. Unfortunately, this ongoing issue has made us reconsider future stays until changes are made to address this concern. The restaurant, previously known for a good selection of tasty dishes, was disappointing this year due to a reduced menu and noticeable decline in quality. Hosting several international guests, we were disappointed by the limited and less satisfying offerings. The pool remains a nice amenity, especially with its Himalayan salt room. However, the spa experience was marred by the sight of parents with a small baby not wearing special swim diapers, which was concerning. It's a shame to see a hotel with such potential and a fantastic location not maintain its previous high standards. We hope to see improvements that will restore it to a four-star level. For now, based on recent experiences, I can only give it three stars. I look forward to updating this review if things improve.

I stayed in a hotel this month, and it was not my first time. The food was bad this time. Dinner in the restaurant was tasteless, but worst of all was the breakfast. Very poor, the donuts were a few days old, bread too. I was very disappointed, because the hotel is not cheap.

Very disappointed. It has great location and everything looks great but the service is beyond all expectations. The pool is almost unusable, water is cold and we didn't use it. Kids could not use it at all. Bathrobes and slippers were not in the room. Tomorrow morning, after a rooms service, towels were not in the room. We had to ask for all. Dinner was quite poor and quest who came bit later had to ask for refill. They even limited dining time one night to one hour only, because they had some party planned in the dining area. All toghether, very disappointing.

I had a six months assignment with my organisation to Sarajevo. Over New Year Claudia came to visit me. She was in dire need of physiotherapy after an accident, but due to the pandemic she could not get it in our home country Austria. The Monti has an academic physiotherapist Mr. (Stefan). So we decided to give it a try. We did not regret it. Stefan is magic! But it was ultimately the engagement of Mr. Adi (reception) and Mrs Butmir (guest relations) who made it possible for us to move in, since we were already late with the booking. I have to mention that the whole reception staff is outstanding! The food is superb (chefs Adela and Amir) and Mr. Ervin (and Mr. Damir) and the rest of the service staff were super-helpful, and creative, so we decided to stay in the Monti for the remainder of my contract (94 days). We did not regret it. Every day in this unique hotel was a highlight, it would go to far to describe all what they did for us. The housekeeping is "gold standard", which is in particular of importance when you are staying for a longer period of time. The Monti is a new hotel built in the style of the Dinaric Alps. The surrounding nature is forested, pristine and beautiful. The indoor pool has 25 meters (!). The spa and the gym are top notch. The whole staff is lovely. We are looking forward to come again. Tipp: Ask Mr. Ervin (chef de rang) for a beef Wellington. It is not on the menu but no-one prepares it better than the staff of the Monti! Thank you Monti!!!

The service in the restaurant is terrible. You are simply unable to order food. The waiters are very unpleasant and sarcastic. And I have been here three times since 2021. Everytime is the same experience.

We stayed at Monti end of Feb 2023 and didn’t want to leave) hotel itself looks amazing, beautiful location, nice food. Only One evening (out of 7)at the dinner did left us disappointed because they had some VIPs (I believe) so we all been left out where we couldn't even get a drink for the first 30minutes. We did complain to the reception straight away and did get apology and the next morning was like nothing ever happened. Massive thanks to restaurant boy Amil 👏🏻 great service , he looked after us every time he’s been on his shift! It was pleasure to meet him and kids loved him. We had our own table set up for breakfast and dinner! He always smiles,always asking if we need anything and even offer omelets or something different for breakfast what is not on the buffet So if you not kin on food they serve just ask! You will get something else! My partner don’t eat chicken so he had different soup/meals with no chicken!!! We did not asked for the name of mini bus drive (unfortunately) who was keep taking us to ski resort and back(and even shop)!this men, no words! You are amazing) they even let us to check out without any extra cost later then we suppose to. It was pleasure to stay at the hotel and meet so many nice people. Defiantly would recommend and we will be back ❤️
