A Memorable Stay at Malabar Beach Resort, Thottada, Kannur We had a truly wonderful time at Malabar Beach Resort in Thottada, Kannur. As we wound down the road towards the resort, the sight of the glimmering waters of the Arabian Sea took our breath away, setting the perfect tone for our holiday. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome by the owner, Mr. Sunil, made us feel right at home. The resort exudes a cozy, homely vibe, with the option to relax in the serene garden or take a short walk to the pristine beach. It was the perfect setting for an easy, relaxing holiday with family. The culinary experience was exceptional. The chef delighted us with mouthwatering dishes like fish fry and curry, appams, nool puttu, puttu, and even a flavorful chicken biryani. Every meal felt like a delicious feast made with care. Special mention must be made of Mr. Sumesh, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. He called us even before our arrival to check on our journey and remained attentive throughout our stay. Vijay, too, was always on his toes, promptly serving us whatever we ordered from the kitchen. Throughout our stay, he and Vijay were constantly attentive, always ready with a smile and quick to respond to anything we needed. Mr. Sunil’s regular presence around the resort, ensuring every guest’s comfort, added a personal touch that made our stay even more memorable. We can’t wait to go back to this beautiful retreat. Malabar Beach Resort is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience to cherish. We loved every moment of it!

Very nice property. Beach is just across the road with a 2 minutes walk. The rooms are no beach view rooms but good enough. We stayed in deluxe rooms with one double bed and a single bed for our child. They are a bit small for 3 people we felt. Rooms are reasonably priced though. The cottage room seemed to be good and they are also coming up with some suite rooms which seemed good as well. The access road is narrow but in good condition. There is no common water filter which can be used to fill up drinking water. It should be bought in plastic bottles. The beach is not private if you go with that expectation, but scarcely populated. Good food from the restaurant. I did not find any spa as mentioned in the title

The resort provides exceptional hospitality, with the staff attending to requests on urgency, including personalized service. The staff’s genuine warmth and dedication create a truly unforgettable stay. They're always ready to assist, whether it's recommending the best local cuisine, short trips or organizing a family celebration under the stars. The laid-back atmosphere is perfect for those seeking tranquillity. Whether you prefer lounging by the sea, indulging in swimming, or simply unwinding with a long walk in the beach, the resort offers something for everyone. In short, Malabar Resort is a hidden gem that offers the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and tranquillity. It's the ideal destination for anyone seeking a truly memorable vacation. We went during a weekday, which added to the experience, because there were no other guests on the property. The approach road to the resort is a bit narrow, so be mindful of that – if you are self-driving. The beach is right in front, and there are showers in the resort, which helps if you plan to take a quick dip. It's almost like a private beach for the most part, apart for a few hours in the evening.
