Hotel Norbu House

Lovely, friendly and QUIET place to stay in McLeod Ganj. Norbu House is sat high above the noisy Temple Road, but with a short cut down to Temple Road from within the hotel. We booked via WhatsApp, and were made very welcome when we arrived. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast (we ate in town for our other meals, but all the food we saw at the hotel looked good).

A wonderful hotel stay at a great location, where one is overlooking the valley, as one steps out of the room. The open air eating area too, has a wonderful ambience. It is one of the cleanest hotels in its category in the area. The proprietor Mr. Wangdu, was very hospitable and accommodated my rather extended stay ie beyond the noon checkout, as we were at the meditation centre. Appreciated that very much.

Lovely hotel with great views. Varied menu with delicious food and the breakfast was good too. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The location was great and easy to walk into the town with many restaurants shops and bars. It's not a high end hotel but homely and comfortable and we would recommend staying here.

The hotel is in a pretty good location. McLeod Ganj is a small town, so everything is pretty close to the hotel. The reception area is quite nice. Breakfast is served in this area. The breakfast is really good and not worth missing. The room was decent. It was warm and it had hot water, so it ticked all of those boxes. I would certainly recommend staying there. The owner of the this hotel also owns the Yewang House. The rooms there are nicer than here, but there isn't really a reception so or common area. Either hotel is worth staying at.

Loved the ******* culture vibe this hotel has! It definitely a hidden gem. I also booked after reading the reviews. Norbu house is located at top of the hill and has great mountain and serene landscape view from the rooms. The food was also great. We found that the approach road to this hotel is little confusing and complicated. One needs to contact hotel before reaching there. It is in close proximity of the main square, just walking distance. We loved the warmth and kindness shown by staff.

My stay at Norbu House has been so comfortable and relaxing. The room was amazing, luxury. And the view from the balcony of my room, is something I will always remember. Seeing Kites flying below my window, as you peer down into the valley and watch the world go by. And then look up into the peaks of the mountains . I felt so welcomed by the owners, and am so grateful and touched by the attention of Seldron, who say with me for a while on my first evening in the dining room. And how she gave me sound advice, and information regarding things to do and see. All the staff were so friendly and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
