I paid the price difference and upgraded to a view room. The view in the room is amazing. I lay down at night and saw the golden mountains of Yala Snow Mountain. When I woke up in the morning, I opened the curtains and saw the sun rising over the sea of clouds. Wow, it’s so beautiful. And the price is comparable to other hotels. It's cheap. The disposable supplies in the room are also of good quality and complete. The room is clean and sanitary. The main thing is that the oxygen machine is provided free of charge in the viewing room, which allowed me to sleep well at night despite my high fever. The butler service is also great, especially Warm, very pleasant stay experience, must be 5 stars!

Going to Western Sichuan in winter is a bit challenging. The service at Lagang Ranch is excellent, warm and considerate. I ordered dinner for the evening in the afternoon. It was a very comfortable meal in Western Sichuan. The breakfast was also okay.
However, the altitude here is over 3,500, so consider it based on your physical condition.
There was a power outage that night, but luckily there was a generator and floor heating was always available, so it was warm and not cold.
I also used an oxygen machine to feel more comfortable and sleep well.
Overall it's pretty good
Summer and autumn should be more beautiful

The room has oxygen and heating. I booked the front desk guy to confirm the time with me and turn on the oxygen in advance. I was very satisfied with the guy's service. The hotel is opposite the Golden Pagoda and you can see a good view from the window. It is 50 meters to the grassland and the horses are grazing next to the hotel. The breakfast of the hotel is good. There are regular ones. You can also try ******* breakfast. Tagong yogurt is very good, butter tea and green cake are also good. It is a new experience.

The scenery is pleasant. You can see the Tagong Grassland when you go out. The weather is just right now and there are not many people. It is a good time to go out for fun. There is a hotel in the scenic spot opposite, which is convenient for travel. There are also restaurants where you can eat and the taste is good. It was set in June, 150+, and it will be 500+ in summer. The boss arranged for us to live in 777 on the first floor inside. The room is large and quiet. It will be very noisy near the road at high altitude, and the sound of horseshoes will wake you up in the morning. Because my friend booked later, I didn’t book the same hotel after the price increase. I stayed at another hotel next to the road. The smell of barbecue and noise all night, and I was drunk when I was woken up by the sound of horseshoes in the morning. My favorite is the squat toilet. When I am outside, the toilet is really dirty. It is not as good as the squat toilet. The bed is very large, with 2 beds of 1.8 meters, and the bedding is also very comfortable, without itching. Next to it is a restaurant, and the exterior wall is being renovated.

I was passing by and wanted to stay for one night, so I chose the budget hotel. Unexpectedly, prices in Tagong were actually more expensive than in Shanghai. The water in the sanitary napkin room was enlarged and flowed directly to the floor drain. Anyway, I don’t take a shower when I come to the plateau. Cold water is clean, hot water is milky white. There is plenty of hot water. Turning on the floor heating temporarily is useless. In fact, this wastes more electricity. It seems to be like this in ******* areas. It is only opened when there are guests.

It was my first time to stay in Tagongcheng. The room was big and clean, and the supporting facilities were good. The oxygen concentrator in the room was very effective. The service staff were very enthusiastic. They even gave me a white Hada when I left. I have been to Western Sichuan many times and this is great. I was particularly moved by this B&B that I stayed at for the first time. My friends, it’s really worth staying here next time.

GGuest UserThis youth hostel is newly opened, and the facilities and environment are very good. It has a separate shower room and a separate bathroom heater, so you don't have to worry about getting cold. Toiletries are provided, and even face towels are provided. This is the first time I have experienced this in so many youth hostels. The location is very close to the bus terminal. This is very friendly for travelers who have a little more luggage but don’t want to take a taxi. It is well worth staying.

JJake Vaughan 杰克Amazing hostel with cozy interior and a really lovely host who made the stay extra enjoyable! The location was ideal for me as the hostel is high enough up the hill that you get an stunning view but still only have to walk around 10 minutes (up/down hill) to get to the centre of the city. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the common area for relaxing is beautifully decorated in traditional ******* style. The host was really helpful and caring (always bringing us tea and snacks) and we had some great conversations with her about life in Kangding. She gave us lots of advice on what to do in the city, helped us out organizing cheap transport back to Chengdu, and even made us a super unique and delicious fusion meal of yak steak with salad. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere with a traditional feel and a great view!

Not only does it maintain all-season standards, it even feels a little over-the-top, such as automatic toilets and showers. The facilities are very high-end, not to mention floor heating and diffused oxygen supply throughout the house. The details of the room are so exquisite that it is difficult to imagine that it could be built to such a standard under such conditions.
The service is very good, far exceeding the normal city level, very enthusiastic and caring, and the food and drink recommendations are very reliable.
There are ample parking spaces and charging stations.
The breakfast standard is also up to the city level, which is outstanding in this area.
There should definitely be a sign of an all-season resort. It's great. It was originally just a place to stay while passing by, but in the past two days, I completely used this hotel as a base camp to explore the surrounding area in depth. This is a way to play that I have never considered before. If there is such a full season along 315, I will definitely choose it.

AAmanda_SofiaHostel is at a 5min walk from the busstation which is very conventient. It is quite a walk from there to the center of the city though. It was a bit difficult to find as the entrance is at the entrance of a different hotel and you have to go to the upper floor to enter the hostel.
Female dormroom is quite small and there is almost no space to leave your luggage.
The bedsheets weren't clean, and clearly used before.
Plenty of toilets and showers available, which were quite clean. The family who runs the hostel is very kind but they don't seem to know much about activities such as hiking in the area.
Wifi available in the common area.
Okay for one or two nights.

GGuest UserThere were no blue skies and white clouds in Xinduqiao when it rained, but I was fortunate to have found a great hotel with a large public space. I could sit by the window and read a book with the mountains and trees nearby, and I could spend the whole day. There would be a bonfire party on a sunny night. , dancing and singing, steaming. The room has floor heating and oxygen supply, which is very friendly to tourists who are afraid of altitude sickness. The room I live in has a small courtyard on the first floor, where I can make a cup of yak milk and listen to my husband playing and singing.

BBrownI stayed in this town four years ago, and my hotel was an absolute dump. Dark, cold, drafty, and unfriendly. There were very few hotels in town at that time . Wow! have things changed for years. There are now quite a few more hotels and the Holiday Inn not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Absolutely clean, great amenities, heated floor in the bedroom !!! large space in the bedroom. Everything was just great. Underground parking with elevator to the lobby. The staff does not speak much English but they’re absolutely expert using their phone as a translator and we had zero problems communicating. Very friendly staff - - couldn’t ask for more. I would definitely return here.

GGuest UserThis is a delightful little hotel, very clean and comfortable rooms. They have a nice dining/sitting area downstairs, very light and with nice flowers and plants.
There’s a little bar and a great coffee machine but sadly you couldn’t get coffee in the morning , a bit disappointing, it would have made the stay better. 😟 It seems no one could work it or willing too. The staff were otherwise obliging and helpful although no one can speak English. They have a carpark underneath which is convenient. It’s fine for overnighting in Kangding. It’s up a very steep hill. It’s very quiet in the evening so nice for sleeping.

BBingcunI booked the ”river view” room on the 13th floor and obviously, I stuck gold after cranking my head from my room window, looking down to the raging water roaring through the river in the center of the city street. When I said ”raging” water, I meant cascading flows that echo through the entire city block. I had seen such terrain in Switzerland before but this is more impressive.
So ”location” is the biggest merit and I would recommend never sparing the money in exchange for the river=side room. Plus, the hotel is looking against the famous ”Love Song” Plaza of KarnDin City. For those who wonder what the big deal is about the ”KangDin Love Song”. For starters, it is a part of the Chinese growing-up song that is deeply entrenched in education, for even a person raised in Taiwan, let alone ethnical Chinese in the Mailand. It is more like a pilgrimage than touring that brought many to the city.
The smaller plaza right in front of the hotel lobby begins to gather impromptu dances at about 8 pm (Beijing time, local time ~ 6 p.m.). I admire the local Tibetans of all ages whose spontaneity sways with the music. The hotel doorman told me that yes, there were Han tourists also in the troupe, but you could usually tell them apart because they were the awkward-looking ones.
I have no complaints about the service, and I appreciate the enthusiasm the front desk people show when I try to gather information.
One more thing before I leave: if you are tired of the summer heat, Kangdin is the city you want to come! In late June, the daily high is 12 C!
The travel to the city has made extremely convenient by the recent completed Highway 42--an incredible feat of tunnel engineering in the world.
