Filoxenia Hotel & Spa

The hotel is centrally located and easy to find, the staff were really friendly and helpful with excellent restaurant recommendations. Our room was spotless and in very good condition. The hotel is practical and well presented, breakfast was good and there is plenty of free parking.

This hotel is very well situated in Kalavrita. It is easy to find, and there is plenty of parking in the surrounding streets. A handy supermarket next door, and so central to the square and the railway station. The hotel itself is very nice, staff were friendly and the public areas were spotlessly clean. We booked a junior suite which was nice enough, but there were a couple of things that let it down a bit.tge bathroom was very outdated and had an unpleasant smell. It generally seemed like it needed a renovation. The shower was awkwardly placed, meaning the door banged off the toilet and couldn't open fully. The other disappointment was the chairs on the balcony. They were so narrow and uncomfortable that we couldn't really use them, which was a shame, as the views were stunning. Aside from that, the bed was very comfortable,the air con was great, and the rest of the room was nicely furnished. Breakfast was fine and you could always find something from the selection on offer. Although the hotel was generally good, given the fantastic produce available in the local area, we would probably opt to rent an apartment if we returned in future.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast with a nice variety of food choices. Comfortable beds. Really enjoyed the hotel breakfast. Quite a variety of things to do nearby, small shops and several tasty restaurants nearby.

The hotel is bright and airy and the rooms are comfortable, spacious with a really nice bathroom. This, however, is not what merits special attention We booked the Filoxenia for three nights for our visit to Kalavryta. However, it proved to be an eventful stay in more ways than one. On our first evening there, we visited the Holocaust Memorial and at some point, I received a bite on my leg. On the afternoon on the second day, I started to feel unwell. At first, I believed it might be Covid but it was not. I ended up in the local hospital with a bacterial infection on my leg and had to have intravenous antibiotics. During this time, the hotel and the staff were magnificent. They kept the room open for my wife and looked after her. They made up breakfasts for me in the hospital. They even sent me boxes of cakes and biscuits. I cannot praise them highly enough. To be taken ill in a foreign country is a daunting prospect but to have that level of service was so heartening. They even volunteered to come to the hospital and translate for us So, if you are looking to stay in Kalavryta, this hotel offers everything you want and more. We will never forget the kindness and service we received ❤️

We were curious to visit Kalavryta, a nice mountain village not far from the coast and the we chose the Filoxenia Hotel and Spa. The hotel has been recently restored with nice rooms and public spaces. We stayed very well, the room was large enough with a real comfortable double bed. It’s vey central and quiet at the same time. 200m from the beautiful rack railway station that brings you to the town of Diakopti, on the sea, in just one hour. You shouldn’t miss it. Another good visit was at the Holocaust museum that was very touching. And the evening was pleasant in the many bars in the pedestrian area. A nice discovery and an excellent stay at an adequate price. The breakfast was quite good also and the hotel is very clean. I really recommend it.
