Modern hotel with lobby on the 3rd floor. Well located next to the Tenmonkan shopping district and 3 tram stops from Kagoshima Train Station. Breakfast is at Tully's next door with 3 options to choose from. There is a car park behind the hotel but rates are expensive but comparable to the carparks in the area. Hotel rate is capped at 1500yen for parking from 2pm to 12am.

Superb hotel with direct access from JR station, and 1min walk to the tram stop and sightseeing bus stop. Staff was polite and patiently assisted and provided map on information we needed. Lovely bath salts for our use. Self service luggage deposit allowed us to continue exploring the city after checkup.

I think it's the best value for money. Good location, cheap, very clean. There is a coin laundry in the hotel, so it's good for long-term stays. The rooms are on the 12th floor or higher, so it's quiet and you can't hear the sounds of people walking on the street or cars. I slept well. There was a refrigerator, hair dryer, and kettle in the room. The room is not that spacious because it's cheap, but you can open your suitcase, so it's not a problem if you're just going to sleep.

The front desk attendant used a translator to communicate with us, which worked quite well. The staff is polite and smiling. There are many skin care products that you can use as you like. The breakfast was amazing, the quality of the food was great and most importantly the panoramic view of the Sakurajima volcano.

Personal opinion:
Pros: The front desk service attitude is good, polite and enthusiastic. The room layout is well designed, and the transportation is convenient. There is a tram station and Lawson convenience store across the street.
Cons: The floor is stained. We stayed there for a long time, so we didn't need to clean the room, make the bed, or change towels and garbage bags. We didn't want the cleaning staff to enter the room, but usually there will be a magnetic sign on the hotel door, but this hotel didn't have one. When checking in, the front desk told us to choose on the TV, but we couldn't operate it conveniently without language barriers, which was a bit annoying!

Initially, I booked this hotel mainly because it was close to Sakurajima Ferry Terminal and Kagoshima Station. I saw comments saying the decoration was old, so I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door. The decoration was new and the hygiene was excellent! The staff was very considerate and arranged a room with a view of Sakurajima. Although there is only one large supermarket and few restaurants nearby, it is relatively quiet and comfortable to rest. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the planetarium. I would give it 9.5 out of 10. The 0.5 point is due to transportation. There is nothing I can do about it. The rest of the hotel can be improved and deserves full marks, whether it is the facilities or the front desk and cleaning staff, they are all great! 👍🏻 (There is a microwave in the room. If you are hungry, you can go to the supermarket opposite to buy something and heat it up. The supermarket opposite is open until 1 am)

The hotel is relatively new, with convenient location and transportation. The airport bus station is just across the street. There are many places to eat and drink around, and it is the most prosperous and lively area in Kagoshima besides the Central Station. Check-in and check-out can be done automatically by machine, which is easy to operate and more convenient than the machines in some other cities in Japan where I have stayed before. Because it is automatic, there is almost no service.
Toothbrushes and other things can be taken on the second floor, and you can also mix bathing agents by yourself.
The room is small, but the bed is big. It is only suitable for single occupancy. It is not recommended for two people. The room cleaning is only on the third day of consecutive stays. On other days, it is just changing towels and taking out garbage. I stayed for four consecutive nights and came in to clean it on the third day. I think there is no problem. It is more environmentally friendly and saves manpower.

The hotel is a short distance from the Shinkansen station,( trolley stop N11). Take the trolley to N8 . The breakfast was very good and the burgers are great for lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Waki, who was a great help for me applying for a visa.

AAnonymous UserIt is a clean and well organized hotel. I stayed in their Otaru branch also, both of their Onsen ended up being amazing which I used every night during my stay. I would recommend always Dormy inn and their onsens to anyone!

TteruzoIt is next to Kagoshima Central Station, so the transportation is very convenient. It is convenient to go to Ibusuki Sand Steaming, ”Reshin Furusatokan” and Sakurajima. The breakfast is good and the room is clean. Satisfied.

GGuest UserA bit of a confusing entry. Despite the fact that I tried to prepare everything in advance for entry according to the letters I received, I had to partially fill it out again on the tablet at the entrance. A mandatory video call was also required, although it was not mentioned in the letters. But overall, everything is fine. The location is simply the best of all praise, the very center of Kagoshima with establishments and a train station, from which buses go to other parts of the city. Also, the bus stop to the airport is incredibly conveniently located, literally a few meters from the accommodation. Inside, everything you need for living, a decent studio, although the second large bed is unnecessary, we used it for things instead of a closet, which, logically, should have been instead of this second large bed.

WWing3112The room and the bed were a bit small for us, but the in room bathtub at the terrace was a plus and a rare find at this price. However, there was constantly some smell in the bathroom (probably due to the shower curtain being always damp) and you could see dust visibly accumulated and stains on the wall next to the bed.

GGuest UserIt was my first time using it, but it felt like a normal home, different from a typical inn or hotel, and I felt calm and relaxed. I came to watch the opening ceremony of the Kagoshima National Athletic Meet, but there were no rooms available at other hotels, so I was very lucky to find this place at the right time.

The front desk staff did not take the initiative to say hello. In addition, we do not speak Japanese. We wanted to ask the staff to help us call a restaurant to make a reservation, but they directly refused the guest's request. Staff from other hotels we have stayed at would be happy to help.
Would not recommend this as a first choice hotel.

The location of the homestay is on the bank of the Sapporo Island Volcano. The homestay has a rooftop. You can go up to enjoy the cool and watch the sunset and watch the volcano.
